Cooper Kupp & The Rams agree to 3-year extension worth up to $80 million

Cooper Kupp & The Rams agree to 3-year extension worth up to $80 million

Featured

Another Rams star player just got paid this offseason. Cooper Kupp just received a contract extension with the Rams worth $80 million over 3 years. $75 million guaranteed and worth over $110 million over the 5 years on contract. After signing this contract, it puts Kupp at the top of the list for receivers for the most guaranteed money ever given.

Kupp earned his extension by leading the league with 145 catches for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns during the regular season leading the league in all categories. Helped lead the Rams to a SuperBowl win with 2 touchdowns and sealed the Super Bowl along the way.

Post Season Stats

Receptions – 33

Receiving yards – 478

Receiving touchdowns – 3

Cooper Kupp didn’t try to be compared to other top-paid receivers saying he just wanted something to work on together between him and the Rams organization.

“Something that’s great for the team, something that’s great for me and my family as well,” Kupp said. “That place exists, and it’s just getting there.”

This comes shortly after the Rams reworked Aaron Donald’s contract to make him the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL. Other moves made by the Los Angeles Rams this offseason include extending Mathew Stafford and signing Bobby Wagner and bringing in Allen Robinson to add to WR depth.

Since the 1970 merger, Kupp is one of eight players with 5,500 receiving yards and 40 receiving touchdowns within his first five career seasons. The others are Mike Evans, A.J. Green, Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Randy Moss, Marvin Harrison, and Jerry Rice.

Aaron Donald’s Running It Back With The LA Rams After His Huge Payday

Aaron Donald’s Running It Back With The LA Rams After His Huge Payday

Featured

Let’s Run It Back AD

Aaron Donald isn’t going anywhere and is ready to win the Lombardi trophy for 2nd year in a row. The Los Angeles Rams gave him a 40 million dollar raise in the remaining years of his current contract. Aaron will be making over 30 million a season and making him the first non-quarterback in NFL history to do so. Well deserved after helping bring a championship to the LA Rams organization.

Donald said becoming the highest paid non-quarterback wasn’t important to him when the decision was made. Donald had to evaluate certain things off the field and make sure everything felt right before making a decision. Happy to have won the championship with the team he started with and is excited to join the Rams to make a run for the title again. Donald’s wanting that feeling all over again of winning it all.

“It’s about winning for me and the pieces are here for that to come to fruition. And for me to be a piece to the puzzle and to be here right now, it’s a blessing.”

The Rams definitely have what it takes to make it back to the Super Bowl this season and with Donald leading the way they are going to be tough to stop. Although expectations are going to be high for the Rams there is no doubt the super champ Aaron Donald will continue to improve and perform at a high level.

Tobias Harris, Philadelphia 76ers (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Tobias Harris, Philadelphia 76ers (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

Tobias Harris is cool, calm, and collected on and off the basketball court. This season he saw moments where he was able to take over alongside Joel Embiid. Then on the flip side, he had to adjust his game when James Harden came to Philly. The one thing that didn’t change was Tobias Harris’ pure game. Tobias has one of the smoothest games you will see from a forward in the game and has the ability to beat you on the inside and out. Tobias has been used to change but has found a true home in Philly where he’s been able to flourish under the coaching of Doc Rivers.

Tobias Harris finished the 2021-2022 season averaging 17.2 PPG & 6.8 RPG. During the season, Harris adjusted to Embiid & Harden’s play style, which could have been challenging for other players. Harris has matured with his game and he’s seen as one of the best forwards in the league who can play small forward or power forward. Tobias is one of the most coachable players and his teammates brag about his greatness on the court and off.

Tobias Harris has one of the best Kobe PE collections in the whole NBA. You can catch Tobias in the Kobe 4,5,6 majority of the time throughout the last couple of seasons. During the 2021-2022 season, Tobias was all over the place with the Kobes but was able to sprinkle in the arrival of the Nike Air Zoom GT Cut. The colorways that he rocked on the court this season for Philly were crazy and I wish the public were able to get their hands on some of them. Like many players in the NBA Harris modeled his work ethic/game after Kobe Bryant and rocks Nike Kobe on the court out of respect for the Mamba. He even stated that Kobe was his hero growing up. Check out some of the PE heat that Tobias Harris rocked this season below.

SR – 2021-2022 NBA Finals Preview: Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors

SR – 2021-2022 NBA Finals Preview: Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors

Featured

We are now what is merely moments away before the tip-off of the 2021-2022 NBA Finals, and what a journey it has been to get to this point in this time. After a tough Game 7 win over the Miami Heat, the Boston Celtics find themselves up against who other than the Golden State.Warriors.

__________________________

The matchup here is a particularly interesting one, with one of the most winningest teams in league history competing against one of the most winningest teams within the last decade. It is here where we will discuss the keys to victory in this series and consider who will be lifting the championship trophy once the dust settles. There is a plethora of things that go into a playoff series for each respective team: initial offensive/ defensive strategies going into it, individual matchups, and the quarter to quarter and game to game adjustments that’ll be made as the series progresses.

_________________________

First and foremost, looking at both rosters, there’s very much some similarities but at the same time just as many differences. Both rosters have role players who are very much capable of contributing on both sides of the ball, but at the same time the Celtics have much more of a positionless basketball approach with their rotation where as the Warriors have a bit more definition in regards to who fits into what position for the most part. Looking at this matchup we get a bit of a “when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object” sort of situation, with the Celtics defense being ranked as one of the best in the league as well as the Warriors having one of the most free flowing and effective offenses.

Some of the things that this series boils down to is what will be more difficult for either team, the Warriors scoring on the Celtics in the half-court, or the Celtics shutting down the Warriors while on defense. Although it sounds rather redundant, realistically speaking the Celtics have had major defensive schemes set up by the Coach Udoka and staff per series and that is definitely no different going into this matchup starting tonight. The Celtics have taken pride in being able to defend teams, shutting down their offensive sets in order to make things easier for themselves on the other end. So one of the big “ifs” in this series is whether or not the Celtics can string together some big stops on some of the best shooters this league has ever seen.

Assuming that both teams’ superstars are healthy, it is safe to say that their performances are jot be just about what we’d expect from them, and where the X-Factors lie are amongst other role players: Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole for the Warriors, and Al Horford and Robert Williams III for the Celtics. Each of these players have shown to be vital pieces in these playoffs in multiple facets of the game, where Wiggins and Poole have been shining through with shot creating and scoring, where as Horford and Williams have shown time and time again the effectiveness of what a big can bring to both sides of the ball. Unfortunately a question mark falls upon the health of Rober Williams III, having missed a handful of games leading up to this point in time, as the same can be said for Celtics guard Marcus Smart. As basketball fans we can only hope that both rosters will have a healthy series, knowing just how taxing it can be.

_________________________

The list of keys to this series is one that truly can be discussed for hours on end which in truth is something to be very excited about. Few saw both teams having the potential to win it all this season, but with solid top to bottom rosters, great coaches and staff, and some all-time talents on both sides, we as basketball fans are in for an interesting set of games to come. Although it seems like every game won’t be too one sided, personally it seems difficult to bet against good defense and grit. And with that being said

Boston Celtics in 6.

Game 1 of the 2021-2022 NBA Finals starts today at 9PM EST on ABC.

Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

This season was challenging for the Los Angeles Lakers and Anthony Davis, especially with his injuries. When Davis is available for the Lakers he’s one of the Top 10 players in the league on both ends. The issue has been the freak incidents during games that have occurred. Coming into this season the Lakers were a heavy favorite to make it to the NBA Finals. Much of that was based on the chemistry between LeBron, AD, and The Brodie.

Anthony Davis averaged 23.2 PPG & 9.8 RPG this season for the Lakers during the season. The crazy thing about this season for Anthony Davis is the fact he had all those monster numbers in only 40 games this season. The Lakers struggled as LeBron had to get back into his MVP bag almost every night without his big man AD in the lineup. When AD did play he showcased that true talent that everyone in the NBA is scared to face.

The Lakers know exactly how to get Anthony Davis going and they know his sweet spots on the court. No one questions his ability to get the job done it’s just his availability. AD has the potential to go down as one of the best big men in NBA history if he can stay on the court. Davis has one of the smoothest jumpers and on the defensive end, he can block anything that comes in the paint. Anthony Davis has balled out in the Nike Kobe series for the last couple of seasons. This season Davis was hooping in the Nike Kobe 6 and he’s had some of the best PEs without question. Kobe was one of Anthony Davis’ mentors during his time in the 2012 Olympics and that carried on into the NBA as well.

Kyrie Irving, Brooklyn Nets (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Kyrie Irving, Brooklyn Nets (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

This was definitely a different season for Kyrie Irving who stood for what he believed in. Kyrie was only available for 29 games due to his stance on the COVID-19 Vaccine. We learned a lot more about Kyrie Irving and his personal life this past season. He did a lot more Instagram Lives and Interviews this season than he has in the past. When Kyrie Irving is on the court he’s one of the best players that the game has ever seen. This season Kyrie averaged 27.4 PPG and showed that he could get it done even with limited playing time. Check out below the work that Kyrie was able to put in proving nothing can stop his amazing layup package and offensive skill set.

Kyrie came into the season with a little friction over the “Nike Kyrie 8” with Nike but patched it up during the season. In the 29 games that Kyrie played in, he still showcased a lot of heat on the court. Every night Kyrie hit the court he channeled his inner Mamba Mentality and honored Kobe & Gigi on his sneakers. Kyrie has the best-selling Nike Basketball shoe on a yearly basis and a lot of his peers in the NBA rock his shoe on a nightly basis.

The Nike Kyrie Collection was on full display in the 2021-2022 season. This year he rocked some of the dopest PEs as he continues to put Brooklyn on the map while showcasing his Mamba Mentality. Kyrie comes with some crazy colorways that aren’t available to the public but they always hope for a public release soon after. The Nike Kyrie’s had some dope colorways that were released to the public that can be seen below before all the PEs. Check out the Nike Kyries that he laced up on the court below with his PEs.

There were some rumors going around saying that Nike may not continue with the Kyrie Brand. If that were to be true Nike & Kyrie gave us a lot of heat and colorways to remember. Overall it will be a huge loss for Nike as Kyrie brought them a lot of revenue and still remains to be a huge draw in the NBA from the public.
