Primetime Preview: Chicago Bears vs New England Patriots (MNF Week 7)

Featured

The Chicago Bears (2-4) will be visiting the New England Patriots (3-3) this week to conclude week 7 of the NFL Season. The Bears are coming into this game with three straight losses and will look to avoid a fourth straight loss. As for the Patriots they have home field advantage and are fresh off back to back victories.

The Bears Offense has struggled the past few weeks. In the 12-7 loss against the Washington Commanders the Bears offense only put up 7 points in a game they had plenty of opportunities to take the lead and had many redzone opportunities. Justin Fields and the Bears offense just couldn’t punch it in when the opportunity presented itself. The Bears are 31st in scoring offense which is one of the league’s worst but have one of the best rushing offenses. The Bears offensive line will have to do a better job at protecting Fields and allowing him more time to throw, Fields was hit plenty against the Commanders and appeared to be playing hurt. As for the Bears defense they have not been able to stop the run as of lately as their front 7 has struggled against opponents rushing game. The Bears secondary hasn’t been all too bad and will look to limit quarterback Mac Jones and force turnovers. The Bears key to victory will be the Bears offense: they will have to score touchdowns when the opportunity presents itself and not settle for field goals.

The Patriots are starting Jones and he will be leading the patriots offense after missing three weeks. The Patriots came off an impressive 38-15 victory over the Cleveland Browns, in which the Patriots defense forced four turnovers. Zappe has kept the Patriots offense efficient and has put up points as he had 2 passing touchdowns in the victory over the Browns. Jones will look to take advantage of the the bears defense as they’ve struggled as of recently but with Eddie Jackson and Jaylon Johnson in the secondary he’ll look to be cautious with the deep ball. The Patriots defense has been carrying the workload as they’ve played lights out and forced four turnovers against the browns and had four sacks. The defense will look to force Fields into uncomfortable throwing situations and get a few sacks as the Bears offensive line has struggled to protect Fields. Fields has nearly thrown an interception in every game this year so the Patriots ball hawking defense will look to add more interceptions to their tally. The Patriots key to victory will be to manage the clock and keep possession of the ball on offense just like they did against the Browns.

Score Prediction: Patriots Win (28-7)

Primetime Preview: Pittsburgh Steelers Vs Miami Dolphins (SNF Week 7)

Primetime Preview: Pittsburgh Steelers Vs Miami Dolphins (SNF Week 7)

Featured

The Pittsburgh Steelers come off an impressive 20-18 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Miami Dolphins come off a 24-16 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

The Steelers (2-4) stunned the Buccaneers last week with their defense making red zone stops. The Steeler’s offense will look to get it going early and put up points, the quarterback situation has been shaky for the Steelers but it is not certain whether Mitchell Trubisky or Kenny Pickett. Despite the Steelers not being the most explosive offense in the league they constantly improve week by week. The Steeler’s defense will have their hands full trying to guard Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. The key to victory for the Steelers will be to run the ball against the Dolphin’s defense and limit their turnovers on offense.

The Dolphins (3-3) started off hot in the season but since losing Tua They’ve gone on a 3-game losing streak and look to snap that against the Steelers. Tua will be back for Sunday’s game and will look forward to getting things back on track for the dolphins. The Dolphin’s offense statistically has been one of the best passing offenses in the league, but with Tua out they’ve struggled to get going on offense and haven’t been able to consistently score. The Dolphin’s defense failed to create turnovers against the Vikings but in order for them to stay in this game, they’ll have to force turnovers against a young Steelers offense.

Score Prediction: Dolphins Win (24-10)

Primetime Preview: New Orleans Saints Vs Arizona Cardinals (TNF Week 7)

Primetime Preview: New Orleans Saints Vs Arizona Cardinals (TNF Week 7)

Featured

Week 7 will kickoff with a Thursday night showdown between the New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals. The Saints (2-4) come off a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cardinals (2-4) come off a loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Saints lost to the Bengals in week 6 30-26 despite having a 23-14 lead in the third quarter. The Saints have been having quarterback trouble with Jameis Winston injured and now Andy Dalton is questionable, but Dalton is expected to start. The Saints are also dealing with injuries at the receiver position with Jarvis Landry and Micheal Thomas expected to not play on Thursday night. New Orleans has been a consistent offense this season both on the running and passing game. With the quarterback situation shaky for the Saints, it looks like they will rely on the running game with Alvin Kamara leading the pack.

The Cardinals are off to a disappointing start at (2-4). The Cardinals offense was unable to get it going offensively in week 6 against the Seahawks. Kyler Murray had 23 completions out of 37 in week 6 for 222 passing yards, he also led the team in rushing with 100 yards. The big news coming out of Arizona is that Deandre Hopkins is set to start against the Saints, the Cardinals are hoping that Hopkins can provide something offensively for them and get something going. The Cardinals defense has also struggled to get off the field and allowed a lot of points to opposing offenses. The key to a victory for the Cardinals is getting into a rhythm on offense and putting up points.

Score prediction: Saints Win (14-12)
