Saweetie has officially released “My Type” remix

Celebs

The wait is finally over, after teasing fans earlier this month with the question “ who do y’all want on the remix?” Bay area native Saweetie has released the remix to“My Type,” with the success of the single off her Icy EP it was only a matter of time before the summer anthem had more artist hop on the track.  Featuring City Girls and Jhené Aiko the remix looks to do as well as it original.

As a last-minute addition to Saweetie’s ICY EP the original “My Type,” sparked a challenge on social media (#MYTYPECHALLENGE) which helped to boost its streaming numbers along with the official video for the London on da Track production pushing those numbers even higher in July.

Saweetie and Yung Miami recently worked together on “Come On,” a song that was featured on Quality Control Music’s recently released compilation, Control the Streets Vol. 2. So it only made sense for them to team up again, but with Jhené Aiko lending her vocals there’s a certain flavor given that hasn’t been seen since Omarion’s  “Supposed to be”.

Saweetie recognizes the impact her music has had, she has heard from several fans who were inspired by her songs to exit a bad relationship.

“A lot of women reach out to me and tell me my music has given them the courage and confidence to break up with not just any boyfriend, but an unhealthy relationship,” she said.

Catch Saweetie on the road as she will be performing at these shows, and Check out the “My Type (remix)” below:

Sextuplets Review: Six Marlons Means More Fun

Sextuplets Review: Six Marlons Means More Fun

As the cost of a subscription to streaming service Netflix rises for newcomers, the arrival of new content on a weekly basis is a treat for all willing to make that investment. Director Michael Tiddes and Marlon Wayans latest comedy “SEXTUPLETS,” tells the story of Alan whose on the verge of fatherhood, wants to connect with his birth mother. Upon arriving at her doorstep Alan is surprised to learn that he has a brother (Russell) that is almost identical to him and by movie magic he finds the birth certificate of four other siblings. So cue the classic odd-couple road trip as Alan and Russell try to track down the rest of the sextuplets.

Following the 2017 rom-com “Naked,” This comedic film draws its inspiration from Jerry Lewis’ “The Family Jewels,” and  Eddie Murphy’s “The Nutty Professor.” There are many meme-able moments throughout its runtime as Alan meets each individual sibling, with many clichés that come with the classic road trip film ending in a car chase en route to a hospital delivery room.

While watching it was apparent Marlon took the liberty to add a little of each of his real-life sibling into each character this should be expected from someone with the comedic genius of the Wayans. Recently the actor voiced that he would love to play DC Comics Plastic Man, and honestly, if DC wants to continue moving in that more happy and lighthearted theme for future films Marlon would excel at bringing the comedy it whacky character to life. À, la  Jerry Carry in the “Mask.”

In short “SEXTUPLETS” isn’t an Oscar-winning film but its lighthearted nature make it a great worthwhile family movie to watch. “SEXTUPLETS” is now streaming on Netflix,  official trailer below:

He even tweeted his disbelief the day Nipsey was assassinated on March 31.

It wouldn’t feel like vintage Spitta without the car talk and bud reflections, then again who does this better than Spitta? Longtime fans will surely enjoy soundtracking their evenings with this one.

The series that gave us ‘Lemon Pepper Wet,’ ‘Florida Man,’ ‘Teddy Perkins,’ and so much is coming back. FX has renewed Donald Glover’s “Atlanta” for a fourth season before production has begun on the previously announced Season 3 Variety reports

The announcement was made last Tuesday by FX’s president of entertainment, Eric Schrier, during the network’s presentation at the Television Critics Association summer press tour giving praise to the show’s executive producers.

“What more can be said about Atlanta than the critical acclaim and accolades that Donald, Paul, Dianne, Stephen and Hiro have earned for two exceptional seasons of what is clearly one of the best shows on television,” Schrier told the audience. “This group of collaborators and cast have created one of the most original, innovative stories of this generation and we are proud to be their partners.”

Since the show premiered in 2016, Atlanta has received much acclaim winning five Emmys and two Golden Globes throughout its two seasons. In addition to being a critical success, the series is also a fan favorite. Given the production start date, Season 3 will likely premiere in late 2019 or early 2020, in keeping with the gap between the first two seasons.

As a result, there is a possibility that FX is stocking up on episode in case Glover gets caught up in another project. So viewers might not have to go through another drought between seasons three and four, which will please fans of the show.
