Nike Dunk Low “Chinese New Year” Release Date

Featured

As a part of its upcoming 2021 Chinese New Year collection, Nike is releasing a festive Dunk Low that will be available in Men, Women, and Kids sizing. This colorway celebrates this year by harkening to one of the most joyful methods of celebration–fireworks.

The celebratory Dunk features a layered upper designed to mimic firecracker packaging complete with a warning label tag on the tongue. The dotted light Blue upper is flanked by Varsity Blue leather overlays covered in vintage pyrotechnic graphics. The white midsole, combined with the firecracker red outsole, and fuse-styled laces complete this explosive design. Look for this Dunk to drop January 22 at select retailers and Nike.com.

Just when you think it’s time to turn the page on player exclusive colorways of the Nike Kobe 5 Protro, one Nike athlete brings out THE best color scheme we have seen yet – no contest. P.J. Tucker is firmly back in his countdown stance, sporting PE’s, samples, and retro Jordan colorways we haven’t seen in 10+ years. With the very successful run the Kobe 5 Protros had, we should all be excited for what Nike has in store for the Protro 6’s later in 2021.

DeMar DeRozan seems to be jokingly jabbing P.J. Tucker, stating that he has some heat of his own that will give Tucker a run for his money. Should P.J. be worried about DeRozan challenging his sneaker throne? We’re just going to get right into it. Here is the Top 10 list from Kicks Through the Lens for week 4.

P.J. Tucker is still rocking heat on the court but according to him he’s not worried about defending his “sneaker crown.” “Nah…I’ve given it up.” These are the words Tucker spoke when asked about him carrying the torch as “sneaker king” for yet another season. Is P.J. just kidding? Is he just toying with us while he still manages to bring heat to the court that no other player can? I guess only time will tell.

Some fire PE’s are starting to roll out in the Jordan XXXV’s for feature endorsees like Jayson Tatum and Luka Dončić. We saw our first custom make the Top 10 list for the year. LeBron James pulled out two more banger colorways in his 18’s. With the models and colorways Nike/Jordan Brand are putting out, it’s going to be tough for another brand to sneak into the Top 10 this season. Scroll below for week 3 of our Kicks Through the Lens.

P.J. Tucker heard the noise and wanted to remind everyone that he’s still here. The Houston Rockets guard was nowhere to be found in our Week 1 list of Kicks Through the Lens but this week P.J. came back with a vengeance. Ja Morant looks to be healing quite fast from a nasty ankle injury earlier in the week. Morant sported some OG Kobe’s that are due to come back out in Protro form this year. Phoenix Suns’ superstar, Devin Booker, is one of just a few players left in the league that prefer to rock the Kobe 4 Protros on court. The silhouette is timeless, so by all means Booker, keep the P.E.’s coming. Carmelo Anthony passed Tim Duncan on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, moving up to spot #14. Melo was seen wearing a Jordan XXXV P.E. that appears to be wine-inspired. This is most likely due in part to Carmelo being a wine connoisseur himself, while at the same time his game has aged like fine wine.

New sneaker free agent for the 2020-21 NBA season, Langston Galloway, is letting people know that his collection runs deep and can rival with the best of them. Not too often you see an NBA player brave enough to rock kicks in an actual game that are 15+ years old. LeBron James’ 18 P.E.’s consisted of another banger this past week. Can LeBron keep this momentum with his 18th signature shoe going for the rest of the season? Will we start to see Kobe 6 Protro P.E.’s soon? Scroll below to see Kicks Through the Lens for week 2.

10. Nike KD 13 P.E. – Kevin Durant
