U.S. Olympic Men’s & Women’s Basketball Teams (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

U.S. Olympic Men’s & Women’s Basketball Teams (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

With the 4th of July holiday falling on a Monday, it was only fitting to represent our country. This week we will be showcasing some of the player exclusives worn in the Olympics in Tokoyo last summer. Kevin Durant led the USA as he was able to put on a show throughout the whole tournament. It was clear as day that the world wasn’t prepared for the smoke KD was coming with as he averaged 20.7 PPG in only 27.5 mins per game. Kevin Durant was on a mission and made sure that the US was leaving with the gold.

On the Women’s side of things, A’ja Wilson and Brittany Griner both averaged 16.5 PPG to lead them to gold. Both Wilson and Griner were dominant and were able to put their stamp on every game on both ends of the floor. The US women collectively like the men’s team just have too much talent for the world and the US was unstoppable. It was clear that the US women have a lot of talent as the roster was sorta the passing of the torch. From Sue Bird/Diana Taurasi to A’ja Wilson this team had firepower and experience.

There was a lot of Nike Basketball/Jordan Brand heat on both USA Basketball Teams last year. We will be breaking down the Top 10 PEs from the Olympics. I wish some of the player exclusives actually came out for the public but we all know Nike/Jordan like to take care of their athletes. Let me know if you agree with my Top 10 PE list and which is your favorite out of all the PEs.

Tyrese Haliburton, Indiana Pacers (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Tyrese Haliburton, Indiana Pacers (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

Tyrese Haliburton is one of the NBA’s bright young stars. One thing we know about Haliburton is that he’s going to ball but look good doing it as well with his sneaker heat. In shocking fashion, the Kings traded Tyrese to Indiana when nobody saw that coming. You can tell that Haliburton took it personally as he went from averaging 14.3 PPG in Sacramento to 17.5 PPG in Indiana. When you look at Tyrese’s game he has that explosive first step and can get you with his dribble/shot with ease. The Indiana Pacers have their bright star that will be leading them into the future.

Haliburton had a career-high 38 points this year against Philly and the sky’s the limit for his growth. You can tell that he’s a true winner and wants to continue to get better on a daily. The Pacers are allowing him to showcase his talent and he’s in the Eastern Conference where they were close to making the playoffs. Tyrese Haliburton will be a future all-star and a player that can take the league by storm when given the keys to the team. Look for Haliburton to continue to grow his game this season and I wouldn’t put it past him to be a 20-point scorer per game.

Tyrese Haliburton signed with Nike during his rookie season and hasn’t looked back. This man has nothing but HEAT in his rotation and he’s been able to break out some PEs and exclusive Nike Basketball sneakers that we haven’t seen in a while. This year Tyrese broke out a lot of custom sneakers that were made by (@Andr3wtl & @kingscustom.s) instead of actual PEs. So for this week’s Top 10 PE list, I wanted to showcase some of the dope customs he rocked on the court.

Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

Khris Middleton is one of the NBA’s best sharpshooters that we’ve seen in quite some time. Middleton wasn’t able to finish the season on a good note as he was banged up with an MCL injury. The MCL injury had him sidelined for the majority of the NBA Playoffs as he was only able to root on his teammates against the Boston Celtics. During the regular season, Khris Middleton averaged 20.1 PPG, 5.4 RPG, and 5.4 APG. Khris Middleton when he’s on the court is a serious 3-point threat and one of the very few NBA players to be in the 50/40/90 club. Middleton is a true professional on and off the court and he’s a key piece to what the Milwaukee Bucks are trying to do for the present/future.

Khris Middleton was an All-Star this season and he’s been able to elevate his game every season. From grinding in the D-League all the way to NBA Champ Khris Middleton improved his overall game. Middleton has been able to space the floor out for Giannis and when both are on the court healthy Milwaukee is unstoppable. Khris will make you pay if you reach on his crossover and he will make you look silly if you try to block his jumper. This season he even had a 44-point game and showcased that he’s capable of putting a team on his back when he’s hot.

Khris Middleton has been hooping in Nike’s since we can remember but his Kobe Bryant PE collection is unreal. Over the years Middleton has been seen rocking the Kobe 4,5, and 6. This season he was in the Kobe 6 but also incorporated the new Nike Basketball silhouette “Nike Air Zoom G.T. Cut” during the 2021-2022 campaign. Khris Middleton is one of the most humble and low-key players in the league but his sneakers speak in high volumes just like his game on the court.

Shai Gilgeous Alexander, OKC Thunder (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Shai Gilgeous Alexander, OKC Thunder (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

Shai Gilgeous Alexander’s one of the NBA’s brightest young stars today. During the season SGA battled some injuries and only played in 56 games. In those 56 games, Shai averaged 24.5 PPG and was able to put a young OKC Thunder team on his back. Shai has shown maturity and growth on the court as his game continues to elevate to new levels. Shai makes his teammates better and every year in the league he’s improved his game. The Thunder have one of the best young talents in the NBA and will continue to make sure that SGA’s happy in OKC.

If Shai played in all 82 games this season he would have easily averaged at least 27 PPG. SGA has one of the best layup packages in the NBA and he’s been able to improve his jumper. His leadership was on full display as he was able to help lead the young guys like Giddey & Bazley. We still haven’t even seen the best of Shai yet as he’s nowhere near his prime in his career. The stuff he’s shown at the age of 23 years old has already impressed the likes of everyone in the NBA.

Shai Gilgeous Alexander has the ability and likeness to take over the city of OKC. The fans love Shai and the organization loves Shai as well. With that being said the sky is the limit for Shai as he’s got the whole team on his back. Shai’s jumper, court IQ, and crossover have improved yearly. Shai signed with Converse in 2020 and has donned some of the best colorways in the NBA. Converse has also given Shai his own line with the “Chase The Drip” which was released to the public. Shai is one of the best-dressed NBA players just ask GQ. He’s always being featured on GQ and his style is smooth just like his game on the court. Check out the “Chase The Drip” collection below as these sold out in seconds on all sites.

Tobias Harris, Philadelphia 76ers (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Tobias Harris, Philadelphia 76ers (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

Tobias Harris is cool, calm, and collected on and off the basketball court. This season he saw moments where he was able to take over alongside Joel Embiid. Then on the flip side, he had to adjust his game when James Harden came to Philly. The one thing that didn’t change was Tobias Harris’ pure game. Tobias has one of the smoothest games you will see from a forward in the game and has the ability to beat you on the inside and out. Tobias has been used to change but has found a true home in Philly where he’s been able to flourish under the coaching of Doc Rivers.

Tobias Harris finished the 2021-2022 season averaging 17.2 PPG & 6.8 RPG. During the season, Harris adjusted to Embiid & Harden’s play style, which could have been challenging for other players. Harris has matured with his game and he’s seen as one of the best forwards in the league who can play small forward or power forward. Tobias is one of the most coachable players and his teammates brag about his greatness on the court and off.

Tobias Harris has one of the best Kobe PE collections in the whole NBA. You can catch Tobias in the Kobe 4,5,6 majority of the time throughout the last couple of seasons. During the 2021-2022 season, Tobias was all over the place with the Kobes but was able to sprinkle in the arrival of the Nike Air Zoom GT Cut. The colorways that he rocked on the court this season for Philly were crazy and I wish the public were able to get their hands on some of them. Like many players in the NBA Harris modeled his work ethic/game after Kobe Bryant and rocks Nike Kobe on the court out of respect for the Mamba. He even stated that Kobe was his hero growing up. Check out some of the PE heat that Tobias Harris rocked this season below.

Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

This season was challenging for the Los Angeles Lakers and Anthony Davis, especially with his injuries. When Davis is available for the Lakers he’s one of the Top 10 players in the league on both ends. The issue has been the freak incidents during games that have occurred. Coming into this season the Lakers were a heavy favorite to make it to the NBA Finals. Much of that was based on the chemistry between LeBron, AD, and The Brodie.

Anthony Davis averaged 23.2 PPG & 9.8 RPG this season for the Lakers during the season. The crazy thing about this season for Anthony Davis is the fact he had all those monster numbers in only 40 games this season. The Lakers struggled as LeBron had to get back into his MVP bag almost every night without his big man AD in the lineup. When AD did play he showcased that true talent that everyone in the NBA is scared to face.

The Lakers know exactly how to get Anthony Davis going and they know his sweet spots on the court. No one questions his ability to get the job done it’s just his availability. AD has the potential to go down as one of the best big men in NBA history if he can stay on the court. Davis has one of the smoothest jumpers and on the defensive end, he can block anything that comes in the paint. Anthony Davis has balled out in the Nike Kobe series for the last couple of seasons. This season Davis was hooping in the Nike Kobe 6 and he’s had some of the best PEs without question. Kobe was one of Anthony Davis’ mentors during his time in the 2012 Olympics and that carried on into the NBA as well.
