Cleveland Browns at Carolina Panthers

The Baker Mayfield Revenge Game is on everyone’s mind coming into this matchup. The Panthers have the better quarterback in this matchup as Baker will be facing Jacoby Brissett instead of Watson who’s suspended. With the Panthers having the better quarterback of the two it comes to the running game next. Christian McCaffrey is a full go against the Browns and he will try to put the Panthers on his back in the backfield. The Browns have Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt in the backfield. Both backs put up big numbers and if the Browns are going to win it will be with the ground game. The Browns have the better defense of the two teams but something about Baker pissed off has me leaning toward the Panthers. Baker will need to make sure he doesn’t meet Myles Garrett in the backfield if they will be successful.

Score Prediction: Panthers Win (24 – 16)

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals are coming off their Super Bowl appearance and they will be facing the Steelers. The Bengals have one of the nastiest offenses in the NFL led by Joe Burrow and will be looking to continue that trend in 2022. Pittsburgh just named Mitchell Trubisky the starter and he will be going against a tough Cincy defense. Both teams love to establish the run as Najee Harris will be looking to punish the defenders. On the flip side, the Steelers love to stack the box and try to make it tough on Joe Mixon. Mixon has been able to pass catching as of last season and will continue to elevate. The Bengals and Steelers will have a slugfest in Cincinnati but I still see the Bengals coming out on top with ease. The Bengal’s wide receiver core will flourish more in this one as Chase, Higgins, and Boyd will outplay Johnson and Claypool for the Steelers.

Score Prediction: Bengals Win (34 – 10)

Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans

This game is going to be ugly for the Houston Texans who will be hosting the Colts. Jonathan Taylor is coming off a monster year on the ground last season and will punish the Texans. Taylor pretty much owned the Texan’s defense last year and that will continue today. The Colts added Matt Ryan in the offseason and he will be able to get the receivers going especially with his deep ball abilities. Michael Pittman should have a great game against the Texans who have leaks in their secondary. The Texans have surprised people, especially with the play of Davis Mills and Brandin Cooks. The Texans will need to lean on them and also get their explosive rookie running game Dameon Pierce going if they will have any chance in Houston on Sunday. Indy has one of the best defenses in the NFL and took a huge hit with the Leonard injury but still, this should be a walk in the park for the Colts today.

Score Prediction: Colts Win (31-17)

Baltimore Ravens at New York Jets

Welp this is just going to be the Lamar Jackson show as he goes out to prove that Baltimore should have paid him. Expect Jackson to call his own number near the goalline and expect him to have a monster game in the passing/running game. Jackson should have some of his running backs on the way back as they added Mike Davis/Kenyon Drake this offseason as they await Edwards/Dobbins. The Jets are still trying to figure things out about their offense and they could have a good season but this is a tough matchup. Joe Flacco will be under center against the Ravens and he will need Moore and Carter to help on the offensive side. The Ravens have a tough defense that’s ready to dominate this Jets team. The Ravens have a tough defense that will look to stop the run/pass.

Score Prediction: Ravens Win (27-10)

New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons

The New Orleans Saints were banged up last year between Winston/Hill. This year the quarterbacks are healthy and they will be getting Michael Thomas back after a season off. Also, the Saints added Jarvis Landry to the mix this offseason, and they sure up this wide receiver group. The Saints have a lethal offense and that offense moves accordingly with Alvin Kamara. Look for Kamara to take over this game as he’s always gone crazy stat-wise against the Falcons. Alvin Kamara can run through tackles and he can catch out the backfield. The Falcons will be entering the season with Marriota under center this season and if the Falcons are going to win this game they need Kyle Pitts to go off. This year Kyle Pitts has a lot of hype around him and the Falcons will try to get him and Drake London their rookie wide receiver involved today. The Falcons still have Patterson in the backfield for them but he will need to put in some work against that front line with Cam Jordan. The Saints added Honey Badger to their defense and they will be looking to make the Falcons pay for any mistakes.

Score Prediction: Saints Win (27-10)

San Francisco 49ers at Chicago Bears

This will be a toss-up kind of game in Chicago today. Justin Fields will be looking to take that next step in his game and he will be leaning on Mooney big time. Losing Allen Robinson to the Rams will hurt this team on the offensive end. David Montgomery will be looking to get in the end zone as well but this 49ers defense is stout. The Bears have a good defense as well but they lost Mack and have some players that aren’t pleased with the organization. The 49ers have entered the Trey Lance era and they will be looking to get their 2nd-year player some good looks. Lance will be looking for Deebo Samuels with every snap as they were able to take care of the wide receiver this offseason. The 49ers have always had a carousel at the running back position and they will help Lance with pass protection and runs. The 49ers defense still has Bosa and as long as he’s healthy it will be a long day for the opposing offenses. Overall both teams have quarterbacks trying to find themselves so it will come down to the defense in this matchup.

Score Prediction: 49ers Win (24-21)

Philadelphia Eagles at Detroit Lions

The hype around the Philadelphia Eagles this season is REAL. Jalen Hurts is due for a big season and all the Eagles did this offseason is add AJ Brown from the Titans. This offense will be a scary one especially if those two are on the same page plus Devonta Smith. The only issue that the Eagles have is the fact they don’t have a pure runner that can be the bell cow back. The eagles have been waiting for Sanders to break out and they hope this will be his year. On the flip side, the Lions have their every down back in Swift and the offense will move to the beat of his drum. Swift is a one-of-a-kind talent his only issue has been his injury status. The Lions have Goff who had a decent year last year but he will be trying to fight off the Eagles defenders coming at him today. His number 1 target in the wide receiver group is Armon St Brown. If Armon can create some separation from Slay on the Eagles it could be a good afternoon for the Lions fans. The Lions have Aidan who will be trying to slow down Hurts but it will be a tough task as Philly has a lot of weapons.

Score Prediction: Eagles Win (27-17)

New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins

The New England Patriots are coming off a playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills. This season they will be looking to make it back to the playoffs but change that outcome. Mac Jones has done nothing but improve since coming into camp this year and he now has another weapon in Devante Parker who came from Miami. Parker should be able to open some things up for Mac in the offense and open the top for the deep ball. The Patriots have some great tight ends in Henry/Smith who will also help this offense grow too. The Dolphins this offseason improved in a big time by bringing over Tyreek Hill to help Tua in the passing game. Tyreek Hill can change the outcome of a game in one play and the Dolphins will look to use him against the Patriot’s secondary. The Dolphins added Edmonds and Mosert to their backfield as they look to compete deep in the season. The Pats have Harris/Stevenson in the backfield and will be looking to make the best of the opportunities given to them. Both teams have defenses that create turnovers and both teams will need to execute with no flaws to win.

Score Prediction: Patriots Win (23-20)

Jacksonville Jaguars at Washington Commanders

The Jaguars have a new head coach Doug Pederson with Superbowl experience. Doug will bring out the best in Trevor Lawrence as this will be the first game where we get to see his takeover. Trevor will be able to use his arm and legs to his advantage against the Commanders. Trevor has Christian Kirk who came over from Arizona and he got back his bell cow running back Travis Etienne. Look for Travis to take over this game on the ground as the Commanders don’t have a stacked defense that can slow him down. When Travis runs that will open the play-action game up for Jacksonville. The Commanders resigned Scary Terry and made sure that he was on the same page as new quarterback Carson Wentz. Wentz will be a great addition to this team and will bring that toughness that they lacked on the offensive side in the past years. Wentz can keep a play intact with his legs and that will factor in today. The Commanders can have a big chance to win if they get Gibson going and if they don’t it could be a long day in Washington. The Jags will have the youth and the swag on both sides overall to get the job done today.

Score Prediction: Jaguars Win (17-10)

4:25 PM EST

Kansas City Chiefs at Arizona Cardinals

The Kansas City Chiefs will be playing in their first game without Tyreek Hill on the roster. In the offseason, the Chiefs brought in Juju from Pittsburgh as they look to bring some of that speed they lost with Hill back. This team will be in a great position to win as long as Patrick Mahomes is on the field. The Chiefs still have the best tight end in Travis Kelce and he will get a lot of opportunities to shine against the Cardinal’s defense. The Cheifs running back situation hasn’t been the same since Kareem Hunt left but as long as they continue to air it out with Patrick it doesn’t matter what they do. The Cardinals had a busy offseason as they were able to extend Kyler Murray to a big contract and they also brought in Hollywood Brown from the Ravens. Murray will be able to make it happen on the ground or with his arm but either way he does it with ease. Murray unlike Mahomes has a bell cow in James Connor who put the Cardinal’s offense on his back last season. So this game should be a shootout but it will come down to the defenses and who makes the mistake first in Arizona.

Score Prediction: Chiefs Win (38-34)

Las Vegas Raiders at LA Chargers

The AFC West Division is STACKED…This will be a great game between two teams that know each other very well personal wise. The Chargers have one of the best offenses in the NFL and they will have the Raiders on their heels all day. Justin Herbert has a lot of weapons surrounding him and it doesn’t look fair at all. Herbert should be on pace for an MVP season and he will try to start that against the Raiders. The Chargers brought back Mike Williams and they still have Allen/Ekler in this offense still. The Raiders made a lot of changes as they now have Josh McDaniels as their head coach in Las Vegas. Derek Carr’s still doing his thing but now he has his college running mate Devante Adams with him now. Both Adams/Carr have amazing chemistry and they both should be making it tough on the Charger’s defense if Carr gets the ball out. The Raiders have a decent running game with Jacobs but they need it to be consistent if they will go as far as they would like to this season. The Charger’s defense got better as they added Kahlil Mack to this intense defense already. You still have Bosa and James coming for you so it could be a long day for Carr really quick.

Score Prediction: Chargers Win (30-23)

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings

The Green Bay Packers were able to pay Aaron Rodgers to keep him in Wisconsin this off-season. The only thing that hurts is the fact that Devante Adams was traded to Las Vegas. Today, when Rodgers goes against the Vikings his number 1 receiver, will be Romeo Doubs or Randall Cobb. The Packers are banged up at the wide receiver position as Allen Lazard will be out today. The Vikings are coming into the season healthy and ready to take the league by storm with the Jefferson/Thielen combo. Both of those wide receivers are going to make it easier for Kirk Cousins and we didn’t even get into the running game with Dalvin Cook. Cook will be on pace to have a big season as well but his health is always a factor. If he stays healthy Cook can bring the Vikings to the promised land with how impressive this offense is in Minnesota. The Packers have some running back of their own that Rodgers will be depending on in Aaron Jones and AJ Dillion. Both of those backs will be helping Rodgers keep this offense afloat and they will need the defense to slow down the Vikings. These division rivals will have a close game and both teams will be depending on their defenses to make a play to get them in the win column today.

Score Prediction: Vikings Win (27-21)

New York Giants at Tennessee Titans

This game will come down to the play of the running backs in my opinion. The Titans have arguably the best running back in the NFL in Derrick Henry. The crazy thing is with Henry even with him getting hurt last year he was still near the top in rushing yards in the league. Derrick Henry added some pass-catching to his game last year and he will have to do some more of that with AJ Brown gone. The Titans brought in Robert Woods and have the electrifying Treylon Burks who they got to replace AJ Brown so anything is possible with this receiving core. The Giants have Saquon Barkley and if he can get loose against these Titans then it could be a long day for the Titans. Barkley can dominate a game by himself but he hasn’t been able to over the last couple of years because of injury. Barkley’s the whole Giants offense and the Titans will be looking to stack that box today. If I’m going with a quarterback in this matchup it would be Ryan Tannehill as he has more weapons that are healthy and ready. This should be easy work for the Titans as they try to start the season off 1-0.

Score Prediction: Titans Win (27-10)

Primetime Preview: Los Angeles Rams vs. Buffalo Bills (TNF Week 1)

Primetime Preview: Los Angeles Rams vs. Buffalo Bills (TNF Week 1)

Featured

The NFL should be fascinating this upcoming season, especially with some big-time matchups. This Thursday Night Football game could be a matchup of what we could see in Super Bowl 57 in Arizona. The LA Rams are fresh off winning Super Bowl 56 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Rams were able to bring back Aaron Donald with a huge payday and they also added Bobby Wagner from Seattle. On the flip side, the Buffalo Bills added the former Ram Von Miller who is very familiar with that Rams offense. This game has all the storylines that we needed to start the 2022-2023 NFL campaign off and it should live up to the hype.

We can’t forget about the leading MVP candidate Josh Allen who threw for 4,407 yards with 36 touchdowns in an impressive year. Josh Allen will be watching as Jalen Ramsey will be lurking trying to shut down things in the secondary. Another thing that worked for Josh Allen is the fact that he can run and he gets physical down near the goal line. Josh Allen has the arm strength and leg strength to be able to will this Bills team to a victory against the Rams. Josh Allen will need to watch out for Aaron Donald as he will be coming for him but with the help of Davis and Diggs, he should be in great shape. Stefon Diggs will look to have a bounce-back season with the Bills and he will need to take his game to another level if the Bills will win tonight and the conference. The Bills running back situation hasn’t been one of their strong points in the past but if they can establish Singletary to help Allen they have a chance.

The Buffalo Bills will be trying to shut down the high-octane offense of the LA Rams. Buffalo has some great defensive players that should be able to slow down the passing attack from the Rams. The Bills will still be without Tre’Davious White Sr. as he was put on the PUP list. Once White comes back to this lineup they will be a scary team for anyone to play. The defense still will be anchored by Hyde and Miller as they will look to stop Cam Akers from running all over the Bills. The secondary of the Bills will need to shut down Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson which should be unreal to guard but if they want to make a statement for the league it will need to be tonight.

The LA Rams are riding that high horse of winning the Super Bowl and want to start that road for the 2 peat. Matthew Stafford proved that he can lead a team to the promised land and last season he looked unstoppable. On the season Stafford had 4,886 passing yards and 41 touchdowns. The connection between Stafford and Kupp was on full display and it didn’t take long. Expect to see some more of this tonight against the Buffalo Bills as Cooper looks to go for another triple crown season. Last year Cooper Kupp had 145 receptions, 1,947 receiving yards, and 16 receiving touchdowns. Kupp took his game to another level and adding Allen Robinson to the mix will open things up for him. Allen Robinson should have a great year as well because he finally has a true elite quarterback throwing to him for the first time in his career. Cam Akers will be the starting running back and his comeback at the end of the season showcased that he has a lot of heart and determination. The Bills will be in trouble trying to slow down this Rams offense and it could be a long night if the Bills don’t establish things on the defensive side.

The LA Ram’s defense has been explosive over the last couple of seasons and now they add Bobby Wagner to the mix. There is no secret that this defense is stout and they move to the beat of 99’s drum. Aaron Donald has proved year after year that he’s the best player on either side of the ball and it’s not that close. Over the years people have wondered if a defensive player can win MVP and I say yes. Last season Aaron Donald had 84 tackles with 12.5 sacks with ease. Donald affects the game as soon as he touches the field and he will be trying to be all over Josh Allen tonight. The Bills don’t have anyone that can contain Donald and that will open some holes for his teammates to come in for the sack or rush Allen into bad decisions. Jalen Ramsey has proven himself as well when it comes to dominating a game as he barely gets work on his side. You know you’re good when teams don’t want to throw your way. It should be a great matchup between Ramsey and Diggs as the lights will be as bright as they have ever been for an opening night game.

Prediction: The Los Angeles Rams will win this game 27-21 against the Bills. The combination of Ram’s offensive weapons and dominant defense should get the job done. The Ram’s offense has too much firepower and I think with the Bills missing some key pieces on the defensive end it will hurt them tonight. The Ram’s defense should do enough to make it tough on Josh Allen in the pocket which will lead to a turnover that should seal the deal tonight.

Primetime Preview: Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys (SNF Week 1)

Primetime Preview: Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys (SNF Week 1)

Featured

The NFL can’t get enough of Tom Brady vs the Dallas Cowboys during Week 1. Last year the Tampa Bay Buccaneers squeaked out a win vs the Cowboys 31-29. Both teams have a lot of expectations coming into the 2022 season. The Cowboys feel like they were Super Bowl favorites last year but they just didn’t get to come through against the 49ers due to time management. The Buccaneers felt the same way but ran into the eventual Super Bowl Champion LA Rams. Tampa Bay thought they lost Tom Brady to retirement this offseason and in GOAT fashion TB12 said not yet. This year the Dallas Cowboys will try to put a W in the win column for Week 1. The Buccaneers won’t have Gronk, AB, or Coach Bruce and the Cowboys moved Cooper to Cleveland. So this will be an epic game that will be marked on everyone’s radar for Sunday Night.

Tom Brady will be leading this new-look Bucs offense on Sunday Night against the Cowboys. Tom Brady had 5,316 passing yards with 43 touchdowns last season. This year the wide receiver room will be different but the Bucs were able to add Julio Jones. Julio Jones aka “Waffle House” signed with the Buccaneers for 1 year/$6 Million. Tom Brady getting another weapon like Julio will help open things up for Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and even Lombardi Lenny. Tom Brady is a master when it comes to reading defenses and he will be trying to stay away from Micah Parsons and that Dallas defensive attack. Tom Brady doesn’t look like he’s missed a step and he’s been clicking on all levels with new coach Todd Bowles. The Buccaneers will be getting a healthy Chris Godwin back and this offense will be looking sharp. Last year Mike Evans notched his 8th season in a row with over 1,000+ receiving yards. Leonard Fournette grew as a receiving back and still showcased his power back standards. As long as the core of the offense is there the Buccaneers will have a chance to get to the Super Bowl.

The Buccaneer’s defense has been a tough defense for any offense to face. The Bucs don’t give up much on the defensive end and they do just enough to help the offense out. The Buccaneer’s defense was ranked 5th in the NFL last season and will be looking to make things tough for the Cowboys. The defense will be moving the way that Lavonte David, Devin White, and Will Gholston move because he’s one of the pass rushers that sets the tone. You add Akiem Hicks to the mix as well and they have a team that can really get after opposing quarterbacks. Then you have a strong secondary with Carlton Davis III that will be ball hawks. The Bucs will be trying to slow down Dak, Zeke, and Lamb because those are the players that make that Cowboys offense move. If they can contain those 3 players then the Bucs can win this game tonight with ease.

The Dallas Cowboys always have the this is the year hype going into a season. Dak Prescott will be the guy that gets it done for them if it’s going to become a reality. Last year Dak threw for 4,449 passing yards with 37 touchdowns. Dak will have to deal with the Bucs defense on Sunday Night. One thing that Dak has improved on throughout the years is the fact that he doesn’t have to depend on his legs. The pocket presence that Dak has shown over this timeframe has been impressive and he will make sure to shred the Bucs tonight. Ezekiel Elliott is looking to have a bounce-back year after only having 1,002 yards on the ground. It will be tough for Zeke to get some running lanes against the Buccaneer’s defense because they’re stacked. With no Amari Cooper anymore in Dallas, the stage will be set for Ceedee Lamb to be the main guy. Look for Ceedee Lamb to take his next step as an elite talent in the NFL and he will be trying to make that secondary look crazy. Last year Lamb had 79 catches for 1,102 yards and he will be looking to get over that 1,500 mark this year starting against Tampa.

The Cowboy’s defense will have their hands full with the Buccaneer’s offense. The Cowboys have two players that just make it tough on anyone’s opponent Micah Parsons & Trevon Diggs. Tonight Diggs will be all over Mike Evans trying to make it tough on him. Diggs went crazy last season leading the league in interceptions with 11 and 2 touchdowns as well. Trevon is a ball hawk and he was able to make plays for the Cowboys that set the offense up nice. It’s going to be a true challenge for Diggs to pick off Tom Brady but he will be up for it. Now Micah Parsons on the inside is a PROBLEM. Parsons will be trying to get that Defensive Player of the Year this season and he will start that campaign against Tampa. Parsons has the quickness and the explosive moves that can get him to a quarterback. The issue is tonight he’s playing against Tom Brady and he gets that ball out quicker than we’ve seen. The Cowboys will need those two players to lead the way on defense and everyone else to follow.

Prediction: The Tampa Buccaneers will win this game 34 – 24 against the Cowboys. Tom Brady came back for one reason and that’s to win a championship. Brady will shred that Cowboys defense up and he will get his wide receivers involved early and quickly. The Bucs defense will do just enough to keep the Cowboys in check but look for both teams to meet sometime down the road in the postseason.

Odell Beckham Jr, Los Angeles Rams (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Odell Beckham Jr, Los Angeles Rams (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

With the NFL Season right around the corner, we wanted to dedicate this week’s SneakerReporter Top 10 to Odell Beckham Jr. Nobody has changed the culture of fashion on and off the field in the last 20 years like OBJ. His cleat game on the field is just as electrifying as his route running/catches throughout his whole career. OBJ took the whole football world by storm on November 23rd, 2015 when he made “The Catch” against the Cowboys.

His rookie year with the Giants went up from that moment on as OBJ became an overnight sensation. Things didn’t work out with the New York Giants and OBJ was moved to Cleveland where he was able to play alongside his best friend Jarvis Landry. Throughout his time in Cleveland OBJ went through his ups and downs but one thing that remained was his heart, talent, and dedication.

People tried to give OBJ a bad wrap after the situation in New York but he showed that he can be the ultimate teammate in Cleveland. Odell let it be known that he just wanted to win and in Cleveland, it was weird because his targets took a significant hit from his Giants days. OBJ is a rare talent that when he has the ball in his hands he can take it to the end zone at any moment. So with that being said Odell was sent to the Los Angeles Rams midseason via trade and took off instantly. During the 2021-2022 season OBJ had 82 targets, 44 catches with 537 receiving yards, and 5 touchdowns. Odell Beckham Jr finished the season with an insane NFL playoff.

In only 4 games in the postseason, OBJ had 26 targets, 21 catches, 288 receiving yards, and 2 touchdowns. OBJ scored a touchdown in the Superbowl before he tore his ACL but he’s shown before that he can come back time and time again at his high elite level. OBJ remains a free agent right now but a lot of teams are coming to his door with interest as he’s projected to be ready by October. The OBJ sweepstakes should be interesting this summer as everyone looks to see where the superstar lands.

Throughout Odell Beckham Jr’s time in the NFL, he’s worn a lot of player-exclusive cleats. OBJ has the best PEs in the NFL hands down and in this SneakerReporter Top 10 PE Series, we showcased some of the craziest in his career. Odell Beckham Jr has been the face of the Nike cleat game and deserved his flowers, especially after the year he’s had on and off the field.

SR NFL Preview: Houston Texans 2022-2023 Top 5 Games

SR NFL Preview: Houston Texans 2022-2023 Top 5 Games

Featured

What is to be expected from the Texans this upcoming season as they are looking for a fresh start after all of the obstacles they dealt with last season. With Deshaun Watson traded earlier this year in March the Houston Texans can focus on the new season without the distraction. Now with the new head coach, Lovie Smith who previously was Texan’s defensive coordinator looks to move the team in the right direction and win games this season.

After a great start Week 1 with Tyrod Taylor starting the Texans opened the season with a win but that momentum didn’t last long as they would lose the following 8 games. And also lost Tyrod Taylor to injury in Week 2 and just couldn’t recover. With Taylor out rookie, Davis Mills had to step up but would lose his first 6 games as a starter. Texans would go on to finish the season 4-13 and 3rd in the afternoon south division. Texans had their up and downs and showed potential in some of their younger players. Texans aren’t expected to be in playoff conversation but let’s dive into their schedule and discuss their top 5 games of the 2022-23 season.

Texans’ home opener match-up with the Indianapolis Colts is one to mention as it will set the tone for the Texans. Going up against one of the top running back in the league Jonathan Taylor. A major test for the Texans defense along with Colt’s new starting quarterback Matt Ryan. Davis Mills going into his sophomore season has many expectations as Texans believe he is their future quarterback and looks to show it in Week 1 against a division team. Mills will have the support at wide receiver with Brandon Cooks as his No. 1 receiver and Nico Collins.

Prediction: Texans 24 – Colts 28

Following week one the Texans travel to Denver to face the Broncos. A team expected to be in the playoffs and a super bowl contender led by new quarterback Russell Wilson. Broncos acquired the super champ through trade-in March from the Seattle Seahawks. This is the first major test for the Texans this season an opportunity to display how they match up against one of the league’s best.

Prediction: Texans 10 – Broncos 31

Rivalry week against the Titans is always a game to watch and the first matchup of the season in Week 8. Titans are expected to win the division with Derrick Henry back and healthy for this season. Looking to make another run in the playoffs and repeat what they did back in 2020 falling one game short of making the Super Bowl after losing to the Chiefs who went on to win the Super Bowl that year. Titans have won 6 of the last 10 games against the Texans. Tennessee will be the favorite to win the game but expect the Texans to put up a fight in this matchup and make it a close game.

Prediction: Texans 17 – Titans 24

What could be the biggest match-up for the Texans facing the Cleveland Browns and possibly starting quarterback Deshaun Watson. After many issues in Houston, the Texans traded Watson to Browns for draft picks. And at this time it has not been made clear if Watson will be playing this season. We will see if the decision will be made before the season starts. Most would call this one a revenge game if Watson does play for the Browns this season. Watson finished his Texans career in 2 nd place in passing yards and touchdowns. I’m sure Texans fans would love to see a victory over the Browns in Week 12.

Prediction: Texans 28 – Browns 31

Now this game is one that all Texans fans look forward to. And it’s a matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Although on paper the Cowboys are better and expected to win. But for the fan, this one is about bragging rights in Texas. Doesn’t matter what the team records are fans from each team think their team is better than the other. Texans will travel to Dallas this year in Week 13. This will be the 6th game between the two and Dallas are up 3 to 2 in the series which gives more reason for fans to hype this game up. The tough matchup this year against the Cowboys who are led by Dak Prescott and Zeke Elliott and a strong defense. Cowboys have high expectations as they do every year and will look to dominate this game as they should be in top form at this point of the season.

Prediction: Texans 24 – Cowboys 21

Overall the Texans have a tough schedule this 2022-23 NFL season going up against other
playoff teams like the Chiefs, Raiders, and other playoff contenders.

Season Record Prediction: 6-11

Baker Mayfield New Start In Carolina With The Panthers

Baker Mayfield New Start In Carolina With The Panthers

Featured

Baker is finally on the move as the Browns trade Baker Mayfield to the Carolina Panthers. In
return the Browns to get a conditional fifth-round draft pick.

Long overdue after the Browns traded for Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans. Baker
Mayfield waited months for the Browns to make a decision and Baker was ready to go. Mayfield had moved
on already from the Browns and wanted nothing to do with the team.

Last season in Cleveland Baker Mayfield had 3,010 passing yards with 17 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Baker was hurt and was missing a lot of his offensive weapons. It will be interesting to see what Baker does with Christian McCaffrey and DJ Moore as primary targets in Carolina. This will be an automatic upgrade from Sam Darnold who’s dropped the ball with his opportunities behind the O-Line.

Both the Carolina Panthers and Cleveland Browns play each other in Week 1 which should be an epic battle.

Panthers will have to pay $4.85 million of Mayfield’s salary and the Browns will pay the remaining
$10.5 million while Mayfield has decided to forgo the remainder of his 18.8 million to complete the deal Baker Mayfield was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 draft.

After some up and downs in Cleveland, he looks to revamp his career in Carolina but it will not be easy. He is going to be competing for the No. 1 quarterback spot against Sam Darnold who was the No. 3 pick in the 2018 draft. So
depending on if Baker wins the starting job week match-up against his former team is going to be very interesting to watch.
