SneakerReporter SuperBowl LVIII Prediction – Kansas City Chiefs vs San Francisco 49ers

SneakerReporter SuperBowl LVIII Prediction – Kansas City Chiefs vs San Francisco 49ers

Featured

The NFL season comes to a wrap tonight after a matchup of two of the best teams in the league this year, Mahomes and company are looking to repeat as champs. Meanwhile Brock Purdy is trying to end his fairytale story of being Mr. Irrelevant as the last pick in the draft, and led the 49ers to the promise land and be crowned Champs.

The Chiefs are coming off a win against the Ravens 17-10 where they were held scoreless in the second half of the game which has been an Achilles heel for them this year. Mahomes passed for 241 yards and one touchdown on 30-39 passing attempts. The Chiefs will need to be able to put up points in every quarter if they want to stay in this game against the high power offense of the 49ers. The big question is who other than Kelce will make a play. As we’ve seen all season long the Chiefs receivers inconsistency of catching has plagued them all season, but in the playoffs they’ve looked like their old self’s again.

The 49ers are coming off a nail biter against the Detroit Lions, in a game that they trailed 24-7 going into the half. They exploded for 24 straight points to take the lead in the fourth quarter to give them the win, Brock Purdy had one touchdown and one interception on 20-31 passing, while McCaffrey had 20 rushing attempts for 90 yards and 42 receiving yards and two rushing touchdowns in the comeback victory. The 49ers can’t afford to start off slow or they will get behind, and Mahomes knows how to drain the clock correctly. Brock Purdy fairy tale story could get even sweeter if his team can win the Super Bowl. Be ready to expect a heavy amount of McCaffrey runs and Deebo runs to try and get the Chiefs to pull down safety’s so they can air the ball out later in the game.

Score Prediction: Chiefs 24 – 49ers 34

Super Bowl MVP: Christian McCaffrey

The Detroit Pistons Trade Monte Morris To The Minnesota Timberwolves

The Detroit Pistons Trade Monte Morris To The Minnesota Timberwolves

Featured

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been in the market for a back up point guard for about a month now. Today the Timberwolves took that opportunity to make that desire for a back up point guard a reality. The Minnesota Timberwolves traded with the Detroit Pistons as they aquired Monte Morris for Shake Milton, Troy Brown Jr, and a 2030 2nd round pick. The addition of Monte Morris gives the Timberwolves some more scoring but also they bring in a player with great passing ability/IQ with playoff experience. This year Monte Morris only played in 6 games this season for the Pistons but last season for the Washington Wizards he played in 62 games averaging 10 PPG and 5 AST.  Monte Morris will help the Timberwolves for this playoff push down the stretch and he will not be too far off from the Mike Conley’s talent when inserted into the game. Monte Morris is one of those players that has great team chemistry and he will be able to gel with this team instantly. Monte Morris will work wonders for Naz Reid, Nickeil-Alexander Walker, and Kyle Anderson with his playmaking skills. The trade deadline is tomorrow and will will see if the Minnesota Timberwolves are going to continue to be players in the trade market. If the Timberwolves are as serious as everyone thinks they are then another move to bolster the roster wouldn’t hurt at all.

The Timberwolves Defeated Houston (111-90) As Coach Finch Officially Gets To Coach The Western All Stars

The Timberwolves Defeated Houston (111-90) As Coach Finch Officially Gets To Coach The Western All Stars

Featured

The Minnesota Timberwolves were stunned by the Orlando Magic the other night. They were looking for bounce back in a major way with Houston coming into town. The good thing about this game was if the Timberwolves won they would get Coach Finch into the All Star game as the Western Conference Head Coach.

It was a game that started out back and forth as both the Rockets/Timberwolves were figuring each other out. The 2nd half it was clear that Anthony Edwards came out with another gear as he was able to score 22 points in the 3rd quarter alone. When Edwards plays like this the Timberwolves are tough to beat.

The Minnesota Timberwolves Take Care Of The Mavs At Home (121-87)

The Minnesota Timberwolves Take Care Of The Mavs At Home (121-87)

Featured

The Minnesota Timberwolves were coming into this game getting Mike Conley back into the lineup. That would be a huge boost as Minnesota has been playing without him due to injury/illness. In his absence Nickeil Alexander Walker stepped up his game big time. On the flip side the Mavericks were going to be playing against the Timberwolves without Luka Doncic, Derek Lively, and Kyrie Irving. Luka alone is a huge blow to this offense but the Mavs were going to depend on the young players to come out with a win.

The first half of this game was a battle as the Mavericks came out showing that it was going to be a tough matchup. Josh Green was able to put the Mavericks on his back as he was able to attack the paint tonight and hit some 3 pointers to help the Mavericks keep it close. Green was the leading scorer for the Mavericks finishing with 18 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist. The Mavericks were able to make it tough on the Timberwolves early as Minnesota wasn’t hitting any 3 pointers and at one point they were shooting 16%. Tonight the Timberwolves were able to focus on the paint as both Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert led the way. In the 2nd half the game got out of hand for Dallas as they weren’t able to score like they did in the first half.

The Timberwolves were able to dominate in the paint tonight with their bigs getting whatever they wanted from Dallas. The Timberwolves had 52 points in the paint and that was led by Karl-Anthony Towns who had finished with 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists. When KAT is playing like this the Timberwolves can do whatever they want because he’s attacking the mismatch on the inside/outside. Towns has been special this season and his playmaking ability has been impressive as well because he can get Rudy Gobert looks in his spots too. Rudy finished with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Obviously Rudy wants to make the best of the situation in the rebounding department but he will take the win every time.

The Timberwolves were able to remain #1 in the Western Conference after this win against the Mavericks but this was a true test that you can’t sleep on your opponent. The Mavs didn’t have their all stars but the Timberwolves did take care of business when they needed tonight.
