Michael Clark has evolved into a household name in the Arizona community especially when it comes to the basketball scene. Michael has been able to use his knowledge and social media skills to help promote some of Arizona’s top basketball prospects. Arizona Finest has become an elite platform in the basketball community that has been able to compete with Ball Is Life. Clark had the vision at the age of 22 and has used Youtube, Twitter, and Instagram to expand AZ Finest. The best thing about what Clark does is the fact that he shows through basketball and directing highlights that anything is possible for young talent in Arizona. Clark gives the young talent coming up in Arizona a chance to get noticed on a huge platform. Michael has proved that vision and belief in yourself is possible even at a young age. Clark started the grind watching his brother and helping his brother look good on the court with his videos. Now Clark can say that has been everywhere through his vision and has been in the presence of some of the best basketball players in Arizona and around the US.
Michael has an eye for exceptional talent on the basketball court and he’s built a company that has become about building relationships. The relationships that have been built over time have helped Clark be at many events and places that basketball players need to be filmed for highlights. Clark has been able to take something that was just Arizona based and bring it into a national eye view. Michael has inspriation from Ball Is Life but when you want to be the best you have to try to take risks to get to the top and he’s done just that. Michael has watched Marvin Bagley grow from a freshman to a Duke elite talent. Clark cherishes these moments and has been there since the beginging and loves it when someone makes it to success. With AZ Finest it presents the chance or opporunity for athletes with hoop dreams to get exposure so they can hang on to that hoop dream. Many propsects have showed love to Michael Clark and he’s showed it right back being there for every moment through the lens.
Overall Michael Clark has achieved so much in such very little time. When you look at his drive and determination it’s defintely encouraging to anyone that comes across him. When you have the talent and the drive like Michael Clark you can see your growth on a daily. When it comes to getting the best of of himself Clark has been able to do that. He’s been featured on many news outlets and he’s also been able to connect with many players in Arizona to help them each their goal. Clark has evolved the sports insursty in Arizona and has made AZ Finest a well known name when it comes to basketball clips on social media. You can catch Michael capturing the best crossovers, dunks, and passes all at the right moment. It’s to the point that players want Clark to be wherever they are so he can capture their best moments on and off the court. Clark started something that has grown into something bigger than expected but he doesn’t shy away from that moment. All Clark needed was the door open and now he’s been able to flourish in a sports industry that has lacked in excitement for a long time. Clark has brought back those AAU days back when the kids would want to see every play and worry about how they looked on the camera.
Michael Clark has expressed the love/passion he has for the game of basketball and has become the go to man in Arizona for highlight tapes in the community. In a recent interview, Clark said: “With video, you can make every player look like they played well, even when they don’t”. Clark wanted to get the recognition that Ball Is Life gets and put Arizona on the map and he’s achieved both of them over the last couple of years. Whether people want to admit it or not Clark has put Arizona basketball on the scout/coach radar now. Using his producing/editing skills he has created an empire that has grown into a legacy.

The Oklahoma City Thunder fans have been waiting for something positive to happen this summer since July 4th. Everyone knows that July 4th was the darkest day in OKC Thunder history as Kevin Durant wrote in the Players Tribune that he was going to play for the Golden State Warriors. Since that day many trade rumors were going around about Russell Westbrook especially if the Thunder didn’t get him to sign the extension. Westbrook was involved in trade rumors with the Lakers, Celtics, Spurs, Suns, Timberwolves, Bucks and Clippers. Those rumors were heard throughout Oklahoma City as the fans sat wondering what their lone star was going to do moving forward.
It had been reported before that there would be no way that Russell Westbrook would sign an extension by David Aldridge. Once that was put into the atmosphere it was on Sam Presti to try and figure out the best way to get his All Star to commit long term. The Thunder had an qualifying offer on the table for Dion Waiters $6.8 million before free agency started. After the waiting game for Dion Waiters the Thunder rescinded the offer making him an unrestricted free agent. Dion Waiters signed with the Miami Heat which now put the Thunder under the salary cap by $14 million. With that being done it gave them the opportunity to exercise enough money to now offer Russell Westbrook the maximum amount of money.
Russell Westbrook would of made $17.7 million on this last year of his contract and if he signed an extension he would make $27.5 million. Thats a huge jump in money especially with the way the market was this offseason. So many people had be spreading rumors for weeks about Russell Westbrook and where he would go if he didn’t the extension. If Westbrook didn’t sign the extension he would put the Thunder in a tough position to the point they would have to trade him. Trying to trade Russell Westbrook would be a lose/lose situation for the OKC Thunder. There would be no way you would get anything close to Westbrook in return on the trade market.
Thunder fans heard rumors on the Russell Westbrook signing the extension all day on the 3rd of August and didn’t believe it. Then the reports starting coming out from ESPN people and Woj of the Vertical. The Thunder fans couldn’t believe that they finally had something to be happy about as they heard their HERO signed a 3 year extension to stay in OKC for $85 million. Russell Westbrook signing that extension has single handedly saved a city and also a franchise. The Thunder will be announcing the signing of Westbrook to the media on Thursday and are looking to get that deal signed ASAP.
Russell Westbrook has shown his loyalty and also has showed he wants to be the man in OKC for a long time.
This has been a tough week in the hearts and minds of Oklahoma City Thunder fans. You lose Kevin Durant in free agency to the Golden State Warriors the team that eliminated OKC in the Western Conference Finals. The Thunder were left stunned trying to look for pieces to try to mend their fanbases broken hearts but theres not much left in the free agency market. The Thunder had their eyes set on the prize which was resigning Kevin Durant and it was too late to try and snag up another free agent because KD’s decision was drawn out. Many people have given up on the Thunder now especially with KD gone to Golden State. What people of Oklahoma City have to realize is that they still have a top 5 player in the league in Russell Westbrook.
Russell Westbrook has become a monster on the court every single night and gives his heart and soul. Last season Russell put up crazy numbers in averages per game with 23.5 PTS, 10.4 AST, and 7.8 REB. With those type of numbers you just have to imagine without Kevin Durant in the mix those will jump up tremendously. Russell Westbrook has no intensions on signing the extension with OKC right now but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t sign it during the season either. Russell has the team in his palm right now because like KD Sam Presti wouldn’t want Westbrook to leave without anything in return. Russell Westbrook has grown as a leader and has brought his game to a new level year by year. Russell Westbrook had a taste of how it would be if he had his own team when KD broke his foot in 2014-2015 season and will have something to prove.
Russell Westbrook has played the game with a chip on his shoulder over his young career. Many people have been shocked at the fact that he’s still being this aggressive for a long period of time without an injury like Derrick Rose. The reason why Russell Westbrook should be the face of this franchise in the post KD era is because he’s bound to be a league MVP. Russell Westbrook has tasted the MVP success in the last two years but as the All Star Game MVP he would want to put the team on his back to make sure he’s awarded the league MVP. Westbrook would be able to bring Oladipo under his wing and help him become a winner. The growth in Westbrook’s game has been amazing over the years and OKC fans really were able to appreciate it more when KD was out for the season.
Coming into his contract year with OKC the trade rumors have been floating around but OKC needs Westbrook to stay in order to remain in contention. Presti has to sit and talk with Westbrook about what he wants to do and actually try to build a team around him now to compliment his style of play. With that being said the Thunder would need to make some trades and try to pry people away from different teams to make this happen. The state of Oklahoma will be inducting Russell Westbrook into the Hall of Fame this upcoming season. Russell Westbrook will now be in a position where he can know how it feels to be the man and be pampered by a team. For so long this was always Kevin’s team and with his departure the Thunder fans get to show Westbrook how much they appreciate him.
The huge turnoff in this situation would be if Westbrook felt as though he wants to leave because he wasn’t appreciated while Kevin was here. He could look at it like now y’all love me because KD left and I’m the last man standing. Thats why the Thunder need to let Russell say who he would love to play with and include him in the decisions to help mold this team into the title contender it was just a week ago. Russell Westbrook deserves everything that he’s going to get this next couple of month from the Thunder and their fans but he’s been deserving of this for awhile now. The last couple of seasons his play on the court sometimes out weighed KD’s play and without KD in town he could possibly get the respect that he deserves.
Russell Westbrook represents the people of Oklahoma with his hard work and dedication and he’s still one of the founding fathers of the Thunder organization. Russell Westbrook hasn’t let the people of OKC down at all with his play. Yes he’s an LA guy and loves being home but starting and finishing a legacy in OKC would be everything the Thunder fans thought KD was about as well. Westbrook hasn’t committed to the Thunder and thats raised some concern for the team but if you play out the season and surround him with some great talent he won’t have a reason to even think about leaving.
