Kevin Durant, Brooklyn Nets (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Kevin Durant, Brooklyn Nets (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

In my humble opinion, Kevin Durant’s the best player in the NBA, and I’m not scared to let it be known. From covering KD in person back in Oklahoma City to watching him emerge as the best scorer even after an Achilles injury. Kevin Durant has been the best offensive scorer in the NBA and it’s not even close. The things that this man can do on the court are unmatched and he’s utterly un-guardable regarding his skill set. KD has the one-legged jumper in his arsenal, his quick crossover, and he can pull up from anywhere on the court with his towering wingspan. In 55 games this season Kevin Durant averaged 29.9 PPG, 7.4 REB, and 6.4 AST on the Brooklyn Nets. Any team that KD gets on automatically makes them a title contender and he will give you a chance to get far.

This season the Brooklyn Nets didn’t get out of the first round against the Boston Celtics but Kevin Durant still showed that he was the best player in the series by getting double-teamed/triple-teamed at times. It wasn’t the way that KD wanted the season to end but it was a small bump in the road as he continues his quest to get another championship. This offseason has been crazy with Kevin Durant demanding a trade from the Brooklyn Nets so it will be interesting to see how this works out during the offseason. Any team in the NBA would want KD in their uniform and if I’m a GM I’m doing whatever it takes to get EasyMoneySniper in my jersey. If you have a chance to get a once-in-a-lifetime talent you have to do anything and I mean anything to make it happen.

Kevin Durant’s one of the faces of Nike Basketball and he’s one of 4 players to have over 10 silhouettes in his career. He joined Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James. Kevin played in the Nike KD14/Nike KD 15 last season in Brooklyn and his 15th sneaker has a lot of the potential to be one of the best in his line. This season we will see KD lace the Nike 15 up on the court and we will be looking forward to the player exclusives that he rocks.

James Harden, Philadelphia 76ers (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

James Harden, Philadelphia 76ers (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

James Harden’s one of the best scorers in NBA History. This year in Philly he was able to put on for the city with the help of Joel Embiid. James Harden has one of the best stepback jumpers in NBA History and his euro step is unreal. The way that he creates his own offense is definitely at the top of the game. James Harden averaged 22 PPG, 7.7 RPG, and 10.3 APG with Brooklyn/Philly. It’s crazy how James was able to adapt to any situation thrown at him during this season. James Harden has been a true professional and he’s been the ultimate teammate for Maxey, Embiid, etc. During the offseason, James Harden signed a (2-year/ $68.6M) to stay with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Harden showed Philly that he doesn’t mind taking the pay cut to be able to build something special. James Harden’s just missing an NBA Championship on his resume and this year the 76ers feel like this can be a championship season. Harden has elevated his game every season since he’s been in the league and has proven he’s an elite talent. Harden and Embiid can have something special this season if they can get it together during the playoffs.

James Harden is one of the handfuls of players with a sneaker deal on Adidas. This year he was balling out with the Adidas Harden Vol. 6 when he was in Brooklyn/Philly. You can tell that Adidas wanted to step up their player exclusives for Harden this year and it definitely showed on the court. A lot of the player exclusives he rocked this season would have been crazy if they were released to the public.

Odell Beckham Jr, Los Angeles Rams (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Odell Beckham Jr, Los Angeles Rams (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

With the NFL Season right around the corner, we wanted to dedicate this week’s SneakerReporter Top 10 to Odell Beckham Jr. Nobody has changed the culture of fashion on and off the field in the last 20 years like OBJ. His cleat game on the field is just as electrifying as his route running/catches throughout his whole career. OBJ took the whole football world by storm on November 23rd, 2015 when he made “The Catch” against the Cowboys.

His rookie year with the Giants went up from that moment on as OBJ became an overnight sensation. Things didn’t work out with the New York Giants and OBJ was moved to Cleveland where he was able to play alongside his best friend Jarvis Landry. Throughout his time in Cleveland OBJ went through his ups and downs but one thing that remained was his heart, talent, and dedication.

People tried to give OBJ a bad wrap after the situation in New York but he showed that he can be the ultimate teammate in Cleveland. Odell let it be known that he just wanted to win and in Cleveland, it was weird because his targets took a significant hit from his Giants days. OBJ is a rare talent that when he has the ball in his hands he can take it to the end zone at any moment. So with that being said Odell was sent to the Los Angeles Rams midseason via trade and took off instantly. During the 2021-2022 season OBJ had 82 targets, 44 catches with 537 receiving yards, and 5 touchdowns. Odell Beckham Jr finished the season with an insane NFL playoff.

In only 4 games in the postseason, OBJ had 26 targets, 21 catches, 288 receiving yards, and 2 touchdowns. OBJ scored a touchdown in the Superbowl before he tore his ACL but he’s shown before that he can come back time and time again at his high elite level. OBJ remains a free agent right now but a lot of teams are coming to his door with interest as he’s projected to be ready by October. The OBJ sweepstakes should be interesting this summer as everyone looks to see where the superstar lands.

Throughout Odell Beckham Jr’s time in the NFL, he’s worn a lot of player-exclusive cleats. OBJ has the best PEs in the NFL hands down and in this SneakerReporter Top 10 PE Series, we showcased some of the craziest in his career. Odell Beckham Jr has been the face of the Nike cleat game and deserved his flowers, especially after the year he’s had on and off the field.

Zion Williamson, New Orleans Pelicans (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Zion Williamson, New Orleans Pelicans (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

Zion Williamson came into the league and took the NBA by storm. He’s shown glimpses of his greatness and what he can do when he’s available to play for the Pelicans. In 24 games during the 2019 season, Zion averaged 22.5 PPG and 6.2 RPG. It was a sample size of what Zion’s capable of doing but it kept the Pelicans fans excited for the future. Everyone was hyped about Zion’s dunking ability and how crazy his hops are when he came out of Duke. Zion showed that he could be a dominant presence in the paint and even showcased his ability to knock down jumpers. Zion put on a show in a limited time frame but it got New Orleans buzzing for the future. In the 2020 season, Zion played in 61 games and averaged 27 PPG/7.2 RPG. Zion showed a lot of promise and continued to take that next step and he was even selected for the NBA All-Star Game.

The one issue with Zion has been his availability on the court because he’s been derailed by injuries. Zion’s been banged up with ankle, knee, toe, and hand issues that have had him sidelined. The New Orleans Pelicans played it safe with Zion in the 2021-2022 season as they sat him down for conditioning reasons. Zion Williamson let it be known that New Orleans is where he wants to be and they rewarded him. For Zion’s 22nd birthday the Pelicans gave him a 5yr/$231 Million as they are ready to see Zion/CJ/Ingram in 2022-2023.

It was a true bidding war to get Zion Williamson to sign a shoe deal when he came into the NBA. It was Jordan Brand that gave him the lucrative bag to represent him on the court. In his 1st two years in the NBA Zion wore the Jordan 34 and Jordan 35 before getting his own sneaker. Jordan Brand gave Zion his own shoe “The Jordan Zion 1” and it was built for his bounce/bulk. Below we showcased some of the best PEs that he rocked on the court during those years and this should get y’all excited for the upcoming season.
