Baltimore Ravens (3-2) Vs Tennessee Titans (2-3)

The Baltimore Ravens come into this game off of losing a stunner against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. Lamar Jackson didn’t play his best game and if the Ravens are going to be successful with anything they do it starts with #8 in that purple and black. So far on the season Jackson has thrown for 1,030 and ran for 265 on the ground. He will need to do a little of both against the Titans today and that defense will try everything to stop him. Lamar Jackson has the best weapons around him in years with Mark Andrews, Odell Beckham Jr and Zay Flowers. If he can get the ball to his play makers this could get ugly overseas as long as the defense does their part.

Speaking of defense from Baltimore they will have their hands full with King Henry and Deandre Hopkins. The Titans offense started clicking last week and will need to repeat that against the Ravens today. Derrick Henry has to establish the ground game in this one if the Titans will have any chance. Henry only has 328 rushing yards on the year and will need to get one of those 100 yard games to keep the clock and Lamar Jackson off the field. Another thing working for them is the fact that Tannehill and Hopkins got on the same page last week. Hopkins finished with 8 receptions for 110 yards.

Both teams have the fire power for this to be an EPIC game to start the NFL Sunday off.

Score Prediction: Ravens win (27-21)

Carolina Panthers (0-5) Vs Miami Dolphins (4-1)

this is gonna be a tough test for the Carolina Panthers going into Miami. The Panthers will be without Myles, sanders, the leading running back as he’s dealing with a shoulder injury. Chuba Hubbard will be getting more carries today, and that should help them in the backfield to make things easier for a Bryce Young. Bryce Young’s been able to lean on Adam Thielen and Hayden Hurst. If there’s going to be upset is going to be done with Bryce Young’s arm, but this is a tough task to ask for young rookie coming in trying to get his first win.

Miami dolphins on the other hand are coming in red hot with Tua Tagovailoa who is playing like he has something to prove. The Miami Dolphins have the best weapons in the whole NFL from running back all the way to the wide receivers and it’s gonna be a tough task for the Carolina Panthers defense to try to keep up with the high powered offense. Look for Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill to take over this game real quick as the Panthers won’t know what hit them in this game. The Miami Dolphins score of the most points in the whole NFL and today we’re going to show exactly why they do that by putting on the full display in what should be a blowout.

Score Prediction: Dolphins win (38-10)

New Orleans Saints (3-2) Vs Houston Texans (2-3)

C.J Stroud has been one of the best players to watch the season in the NFL and he’s only rookie. The passing display that he’s been able to put on early and his young career has been nothing short of spectacular. Today he’ll be able to put his passing up against a Saints defense that is very stingy when it comes to giving up yardage. CJ Stroud’s gonna have to depend on Nico Collins in the running game with Damian Pierce if he wants to be able to get out of this one with the win. The Houston Texans have been on a roll offensively, but the problem has been defensively and it’s gonna be tough for them to try to stop Chris Olave and Michael Thomas in the secondary all day long.

For the Saints, they have Derek Carr, one of the best quarterbacks that have experience in the league right now. If the Saints are gonna win, this game is going to be with a Defense and it’s gonna be with the running game as well with Alvin Kamara. With Kamara back in the lineup, the Saints often does a strong as it could be especially with the wire receiver cord that they have so look for the Saints to be aggressive on the offensive end in this game. The Texans have a decent defense but it won’t be enough in this one.

Score Prediction: Saints win (24-17)

Washington Commanders (2-3) Vs Atlanta Falcons (2-3)

The Washington commanders are coming off of one of their worst losses of the season against Chicago last week. They will look the rebound this week against the 2-3 Atlanta Falcons. if the Washington commanders are going to be successful, they’re going to need to be able to run the ball with Brian Robinson, Jr, and Antonio Gibson. Sam Howell has been amazing for this team as he’s been able to make plays with his arm/legs. Look for him to be aggressive against this Falcons defense that is in the middle to last of the pack in defense. Scary Terry will need to be involved in a major way since they couldn’t get him going last week.

The Atlanta Falcons will need to rely on their running game as well as both teams like to ground and pound. Desmond Ridder has been decent in the passing game but his ability to extend place has been helping the Falcons this season. If the Falcons want to beat the commanders in this game, they will have to make sure they get the ball in the playmakers hands. Bijan Robinson has been explosive all season long and they will need to use him in every single way today to be successful. Drake London, and Kyle Pitts have been able to get the ball in space as of late, but will need to continue if the Falcons are going to win at home today. Look for the Falcons to be aggressive in this game with the clock management as they try to keep the ball out of the Commanders hands.

Score Prediction: Commanders win (17-10)

Indianapolis Colts (3-2) Vs Jacksonville Jaguars (3-2)

The Colts are coming into the game with Gardner Minshew as the starting quarterback. They have been able to run the ball really good because of the play of Zack Moss and with the addition of Johnathan Taylor back they should be as solid as can be. The Colts have a great defense with the defensive line and they should be able to stack the box against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It’s a division game, so anything can happen with the Colts in this game, but they will need to play a mistake free game if they’re going to get the victory.

The Jaguars are coming off of the game where they dominated the Buffalo Bills. When it comes to dominance, Trevor Lawrence is one of the most dominant players in the NFL at the quarterback position. He can beat you in the air or on the ground, and it helps that he had Travis Etienne running all over the defense. If Travis can play like that again with the weapons that they have in the wide receiver room this could get out of him very quick for the Colts. Look for the Jaguars to be very aggressive as they try to get the ball Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk down the field. Both teams know each other but it’s going to be one of those slugfests with it being a division game.

Score Prediction: Jaguars win (27-21)

Seattle Seahawks (3-1) Vs Cincinnati Bengals (2-3)

This should be a very interesting game as the Seahawks coming off a bye week. Pete Carroll has his team ready to go as Geno Smith has been able to establish himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Do you know what you’re getting with Geno Smith when it comes to being able to execute the game plan. The game plan is simple get the ball to DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. If the Seahawks can do that in this game, it could be very competitive, especially with the Cincinnati Bengals coming off the best performance of the season. Kenneth Walker will be a huge help in this game. If he can establish himself on the ground he’s coming into the game score of the touchdown for the last five games. DK Metcalf was talking trash, saying that the rookie Witherspoon should be able to slow down an Jamaar Chase. This should be a good one to see what exactly transpires.

If the Cincinnati Bengals wanna win this game, they have to stab is Ja’Marr Chase early in this game. Chase is coming off a career day where he was unstoppable, and there was nothing at the Arizona Cardinals can do about it. If Chase can double that performance up today against the Seattle Seahawks, there’s no reason why the Bengals can’t win. Joe Mixon has been able to get it going on the ground as of late, and he will be a huge asset to the team to keep Joe Burrow from being under duress. The Cincinnati Bengals team has played under their potential in this could be one of those games that get them going again in the right direction. The Bengals have been shooting them selves in the foot this season but after last weeks dominate win anything is possible moving forward. This should be a get right game where everything should be clicking on all cylinders, but it will be extremely tough with the defenses.

Score Prediction: Bengals win (34-31)

Minnesota Vikings (1-4) Vs Chicago Bears (1-4)

The Minnesota Vikings are playing this game without their superstar wide receiver, Justin Jefferson. Jefferson will be out with the hamstring injury. That’s supposed to sideline him 4 to 6 weeks. If the Vikings are going to pull this win off, it will be with the arm of Kirk Cousins. Look for Kirk to be aggressive as he tries to get Jordan Addison, and TJ Hockenson involved heavily today. They will need to mix it up with Alexander Mattison in the running game as well if they want to keep the Bears on their heels. This is a huge game for the Minnesota Vikings because you don’t wanna go down 1-5 on the season. This is a must win game for the Vikings if they want to stay relevant in the NFC this season after the great season last year. We will find out a lot about Kirk Cousins today as I’m expecting him to have one of his best games of the season in the pocket. The Bears defense stepped up last week against the Commanders and if that same difference shows up against the Vikings today, it could be a long day for the Minnesota fans.

DJ Moore and Justin Fields played out of their minds last week against Washington. The only way I see the Bears win this game as if they can duplicate that performance. Justin Fields has played great ever since he spoke to the media about the coaching. If Justin Fields can establish himself in the passing and running game, this could be a long day for the Minnesota Vikings defense. Look for Justin Feels to go to DJ more early in this game as they try to set the tone and trying not to go to 1-5 as well. The Bears have Edmonds and Edwards on the defensive end who lead the league in tackles so this should be an interesting game.

Score Prediction: Vikings win (24-13)

San Francisco 49ers (5-0) Vs Cleveland Browns (2-2)

San Francisco has been one of the best teams in the NFL. The only way they would lose this game is if they beat them selves with turnovers. Brock Purdy has been nothing short of spectacular this season and he’s been able to put this team on his back. It helps when you have Christian McCaffrey in the backfield that you can hand off to any time knowing that he can get a touchdown. The weapons that Brock Purdy has with this team is unreal. He has Deebo Samuels and George Kittle to go along with Christian McCaffrey, which makes it completely unfair. This offense is clicking on all cylinders in both teams even got into a scuffle pregame, so this is going to be a great one. The 49ers have the best defense in the NFL in with P.J. Walker, starting in place of Deshaun Watson. It’s gonna be a long day for any Browns fan in attendance.

There’s no way that the Browns winning this game, but if they do, it will be because of their defense and forcing turnovers.

Score Prediction: 49ers win (31-9)

New England Patriots (1-4) Vs Las Vegas Raiders (2-3)

The New England Patriots have been in trouble as of late with the play of Mac Jones. If the patriots are going to win this game, they need Mac Jones to play a mistake free game with no turnovers. Mac Jones has been a shell of them self recently, and will need to find his mojo back. The Patriots need to help him more as they have Stephenson in the backfield. If the patriots can get the offense going, that will be a huge help because the defense is suffering because of injuries. It’s gonna take somebody on the Patriots to step up in the wide receiver room. The Patriots are in serious trouble and they can’t fall to 1-5 on the season.

The Las Vegas Raiders are coming into their game feeling really good about themselves after beating the Green Bay Packers. Davante Adams will need to be heavily involved in this game against New England if the Raiders want to win. Josh McDaniels will be playing against his old team and he will definitely try his hardest to scheme some thing up to stop Mac Jones. If the Raiders can establish the ground game with Josh Jacobs, they should have a good game. Look for Jimmy Garoppolo to try to get his offense going early to take that excitement away from the Patriots.

Score Prediction: Raiders win (24-13)

Detroit Lions (4-1) Vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1)

The Detroit Lions have a complete all season long and it started with the win against Kansas City. Jared Goff has been on top of his game all season long and he’ll be getting St Brown back today. David Montgomery has been a force on the ground all season long and it contains it look like the Detroit Lions our team to not be messed with. If the lions can continue to play with this type of passion in grit it will be tough for them, not to win the division in the conference. Look for Jared Goff to get to his receivers early in this game to get the lead and finish them off with Dave Montgomery punishing them every run. Montgomery has been averaging over 15 carries a game all season long and that should continue today against Tampa Bay.

If Tampa Bay is going to be successful, they will need Baker Mayfield to play lights out like he did back in his Oklahoma days. Mike Evans is coming back from his hamstring injury so that will be a huge help as he’s averaging over five receptions per game. On the side of Mike Evans you still have Chris Godwin who’s been able to score at will. Tampa Bay still has one of the best defenses in the league and they should be able to hold off some of what the lions do but they should be a close grind it out game by both teams.

Score Prediction: Lions win (21-17)

Arizona Cardinals (1-4) Vs Los Angeles Rams (2-3)

The Arizona Cardinals are coming in today’s game, knowing that they lost James Conner so the injured reserve list. Look for Josh Dobbs to try to take control of his game in the air and with his running. He will rely heavily on Hollywood Brown and Zach Ertz in this game. If Arizona’s going to keep up with Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp, it’s gonna take it all out effort from the special teams all the way to the Defense. Josh Dobbs has been great all season, but he needs to be able to put together and all the time effort if they don’t wanna go to 1-5 on the season.

The Rams a feeling they’re selves as they got Cooper Kupp back and they also have their defense swarming at the right time. Last week they were in a battle against Philadelphia improved to be able to stay with them this week they have the Cardinals. They should be a get back game for them as they try to get back to Super Bowl form. The Rams will have to slow down Hollywood Brown in this game and that should be pretty much an easy task if the different shows up today. Aaron Donald has been a complete monster his whole career and will need to be able to show up today as well.

Score Prediction: Rams win (27-10)

Philadelphia Eagles (5-0) Vs New York Jets (2-3)

The Philadelphia eagles are heading into New York to play a Jets team that has struggled all season long without Aaron Rodgers. Zach Wilson, as shown some glimpses of greatness like his game against Kansas City, but it hasn’t been shown since. Look for Jalen Hurts to take over this game on the ground as he won’t need to air it out as much against the Jets team that is missing Sauce Gardner. This should be a beat down in every phase of the game for the Philadelphia Eagles when it comes to playing the Jets. Look for AJ, Brown and Devonte Smith to get busy in the passing game all afternoon.

Zach Wilson will have to have the best game of his life if they want to be able to make this happen for the upset. They’re 2-3 and don’t want to fall to 2-4 so it will take for him, Garrett Wilson, and Breece Hall to show up.

Score Prediction: Eagles win (33-12)

SneakerReporter WNBA Series Preview: Minnesota Lynx vs Connecticut Sun

SneakerReporter WNBA Series Preview: Minnesota Lynx vs Connecticut Sun

Featured

The WNBA Playoffs are upon us and we got one of the best 1st Round matchups you will see this year when Connecticut takes on the Minnesota Lynx. The regular season series is 3-1 as the Lynx dropped 3 out of the 4 games to the Sun but this is a different Lynx team. Those games were right before this team started gelling as they’ve played tremendously from August through right now. The Lynx have been one of the hot teams coming down the stretch.

The Connecticut Sun finished with a record of 27-13 and have been playing without one of their key pieces Brionna Jones who got hurt in June. Brionna Jones was there for the 1st matchup between the Lynx & Sun but she wasn’t there for a couple of those matchups.

Missing Jones has put more on Alyssa Thomas and DeWanna Bonners plate but both have been up to the task. In the regular season Alyssa Thomas averaged 15.5 PPG, 9.9 REB, and 7.9 AST and DeWanna Bonner averaged 17.4 PPG, 5.6 REB, and 2.2 AST. Both will be a key part to how far this Sun team makes it in the WNBA Playoffs. During the season in the matchups against the Lynx both Thomas/Bonner combined to average 19 PPG, 8.8 REB, and 6.1 AST. Both Bonner and Thomas are All Stars and will be looking to apply pressure all series long as it starts tonight in Connecticut. Thomas has played great against the Lynx with triple double like numbers so the Lynx will need to slow her down if they want to be successful in this series.

On the Minnesota Lynx side of things Napheesa Collier has been a Superstar all season long. Collier finished the regular season with 21.5 PPG, 8.5 REB, and 2.5 AST. Everything that Coach Reeve has asked of Collier she’s met the challenge and answered with Mamba Mentality. Napheesa has been a true leader and has shown that her all around game is top tier throughout the whole league. One thing that Napheesa was able to do this season was put her two way playing ability on display. Collier has been blocking shots and making shots for the Lynx all season. They will need their Superstar to show up this series as on the season she’s averaging 25.5 PPG, 4.5 REB, and 3 AST in 2 games against the Connecticut Sun.

You can’t have the Lynx success without newly extentioned Kayla McBride as all season long the veteran has showed up on both ends of the floor as well. The Lynx will go as far as Kayla and Napheesa bring them this postseason. Kayla McBride averaged 12.5 PPG against the Sun during the season but the way that KMac has played to finish the season is all that matters now. Her experience in these playoff moments will help get the Lynx to that next level especially the way she plays alongside Napheesa Collier.

The Rookies Diamond Miller and Dorka Juhasz have both exceeded all expectations this year for the Lynx fanbase and they’ve been playing like sophomores because of the impact on the game. Diamond’s defense and her play making ability have been amazing this season and Dorka has showcased her ball handling skills with her dominance on the boards.

This will be a great series and with the familiarity of both teams this should be a true battle as we find out who wants to get to the next round in the WNBA Playoffs.

The Minnesota Lynx Clinch Playoff Berth After Defeating The Mercury (86-73)

The Minnesota Lynx Clinch Playoff Berth After Defeating The Mercury (86-73)

Featured

The Minnesota Lynx put on a defensive clinic against the Dream on Friday. Tonight that tried their best to follow that up as they went against Brittney Griner and the Phoenix Mercury. The Lynx knew coming into this game that they were one win away from a playoff spot in the WNBA Playoffs.

This game started out very sluggish on both ends but the Lynx quickly turned that around in the 2nd half. Phoenix was led by Moriah Jefferson who was clearly on one tonight as the young people say. She finished the game with 32 points and her teammate Brittney Griner was unstoppable as well with 17 points and 10 rebounds. The Lynx slowed the Mercury team down and focused on allowing their leaders to get the minimum. Dorka Juhasz is a rookie but I’ve already promoted her to sophomore the way she’s played this season. She’s had a physical weekend after dealing with the Dreams Parker and now dealing with Griner. Dorka was able to defend at a high level and she finished with 10 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists. Dorka’s looking like the steal of the WNBA Draft with her play this season by far.

Napheesa Collier became the 1st player in WNBA History to have consecutive games with 20 points, 15 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Her game this season has been on another level and if she continues at this pace the Lynx will be tough to beat. Napheesa gave the Mercury problems tonight as she was able to grab offensive rebounds and get to her spots with ease tonight. When Phee plays like this the Lynx can only be stopped by themselves. Napheesa put the team on her back in that second half and was determined to lead this team to the postseason. Napheesa didn’t do it alone as her running mate Kayla McBride was shooting lights out and finished with 23 points. This has been my 1st season watching Kayla in person and her game is legit. The way that she’s been able to score but lockdown on the opposing offense has been special. She did that tonight as the Mercury had no answers for her or the Lynx.

The Lynx are heading to the 2023 WNBA Playoffs and the only thing we wait for now is seeding for what will shape out to be a very competitive run. Shoutout to Coach Reeve on her 300th Career Win in the WNBA as well.

The Minnesota Lynx Are Now 1 Win Away From A Playoff Berth After Defeating Atlanta (91-85)

The Minnesota Lynx Are Now 1 Win Away From A Playoff Berth After Defeating Atlanta (91-85)

Featured

The Minnesota Lynx came into this game against the ATL after their loss on Tuesday in Washington DC looking for a win. Coming back home to a loud Target Center that was ready to cheer them on as they’re only 2 games away from the playoffs.

This game between the Lynx and Atlanta Dream was a defensive slugfest. Both teams didn’t want to give up anything to the opposing team and the stars showed up tonight. The Lynx were able to set the tone early in this game as Kayla McBride and Napheesa Collier came out tonight on a mission. This Lynx team moves to the beat of their veterans drums and tonight it was on full display. Napheesa Collier finished the game with 27 points, 17 rebounds and 3 assists. It was a playoff like atmosphere and the All Star put on a show.

Collier was battling in the paint all night just getting to the boards being aggressive. The help side defense tonight was amazing and that showed with Collier’s 4 blocked shots. When this team locks in and defends they’re tough to beat as you can see tonight. Atlanta was trying to be physical but the Lynx had other plans. Kayla McBride helped out as well adding 20 points on the night including the huge layup to send the game to overtime. When Phee and KMac have it going this Lynx team is going to be tough to beat. Dorka Juhász had a huge night as she finished with 12 points and 16 rebounds. She’s been making history all season long as a rookie and Dorka has shown up when her number has been called for this Lynx team.

Dorka has stepped her game up and she can put the ball on the floor while still being able to defend at a high level. The Lynx were challenged tonight in the paint and were able to answer by out rebounding the Dream. This was a collective effort as the Lynx locked in defensively late in this game making it tough for Atlanta to even score late in the game and overtime. It was an overall effort as Tiffany Mitchell made some huge plays for them and even Bridget Carleton. This team is clicking on all cylinders at the right time and will need this same energy against the Mercury.

The Atlanta Dream were physical with the Lynx all night long. It started with Allisha Gray as she was able to disrupt the Lynx with her hustle/defense. Cheyenne Parker was a force inside tonight finished with 20 points but the Lynx overall interior defense held up when it mattered the most.

The Lynx will be playing against the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday with 1 win holding them back from the WNBA playoffs.

Breanna Stewart’s 38 Point Performance Propels The Liberty Over Minnesota (111-76)

Breanna Stewart’s 38 Point Performance Propels The Liberty Over Minnesota (111-76)

Featured

The Minnesota Lynx came into this game off their back to back wins against the Wings. Tonight they were going to have to deal with Breanna Stewart and company all night.

The Liberty came into Minnesota on a mission and Breanna Stewart put on one of the best individual performances of the season. Stewart was hitting everything she put up it looked like and she was able to get aggressive on the rebounds too. One thing about Breanna Stewart is when she has her game going there’s nothing that can be done because she has the length and IQ to beat her defenders. Stewart set the tone for the Liberty tonight finishing with 38 and 11 rebounds. The Liberty took advantage of the Lynx 13 turnovers tonight. This Liberty team is now 27-7 for a reason on the season and showed that they’re ready for the postseason especially coming off the Commissioners Cup.

The Liberty had 4 scorers in double figures tonight and surprisingly Jonquel Jones wasn’t one of them. The other players around her made up for the most of the scoring/rebounding tonight.

On the Minnesota Lynx side of things it was good to see Diamond Miller get back into a groove offensively. She was able to hit some 3 pointers and get that confidence going heading into the next game against Washington. The Lynx weren’t able to slow down Stewart but this was a game they needed because it’s not always going to be easy in the W. The only scorers in double figures for the Lynx were Miller and Collier. The Lynx had too many turnovers in this game and you can’t win like that at all. Diamond Miller finished with 18 and 9 rebounds on the night but look for this Lynx team to bounce back in a major way against the Mystics next.
