2021 looks like it will continue to be the year of New Balance. Following the launch of one of their hottest silhouettes ever, the 327 designed by Charlotte Lee, New Balance is now unveiling a new silhouette helmed by the same designer.

As a part of the debut of the XC-72, New Balance is once more collaborating with men’s fashion house Casablanca on their new silhouette. Casablanca and New Balance previously came together for several pairs of the 327 that paid homage to the creator Charaf Tajer’s French and Moroccan roots.

This XC-72 collab evokes the same vibe using those same orange and green tones as the 327 collaboration. The white leather and suede overlays conjure the luxurious air that Casablanca is known for. The Casablanca XC-72 is flanked by a suede “N” with a white midsole and a green textured outsole, the collaboration is capped off with co-branding on the shoe’s tongue.

After choosing Minnesota Timberwolves guard D’Angelo Russell as his heir apparent, NBA legend Dwyane Wade’s signature sneaker line with Li-Ning is set to continue on with the Way of Wade 9. The WOW9 is the seamless fusion of form and function, while at first glance a sleek and futuristic silhouette, the WOW9 is packed with cutting edge technology.

The shoe’s upper, composed of Li-Ning’s Jiang material, is crafted to mold to the foot and the BOOM midsole provides extra explosiveness and shock-absorption. The WOW9 will have two different variations — a low cut edition with a traditional lace system and the high top WOW9 Infinity, a laceless version anchored by the BOA Fit System.

The high-top Way of Wade 9 Infinity will be released in a Black/White “Announcement” and White “Balance” whereas the low-top will launch solely in White. The WOW9 is set to hit soon.

LeBron James has had a myriad of legendary colorways throughout his storied 18 year career but few with a longer history than the Dunkman colorway. The Volt Green colorway is set to make another triumphant return to the LeBron line.

As is customary for Dunkman colorways the shoe is mostly shrouded in Black. Yet, hidden under the shoe’s Black Knitposite 2.0 upper is a subtle layer of the iconic electric green. More flecks of green appear on the Swoosh and pull tab but the most glaring aspect is the translucent green outsole which bears the iconic Dunkman logo.

The Nike LeBron 18 “Dunkman” will retail at $200 and is set to drop via Nike and other selected stores on January 30.

2021 continues to be the year of the Dunk as the storied shoe returns to prominence after a lengthy hiatus. Following their 2018 Blazer collaboration, Nike joins forces with WE Club 58 once again this time using the Nike SB Dunk.

Drawing inspiration from Gulf racing, the silhouette interpolates the classic racing colors with a blue suede upper, a white midsole, and an orange rubber outsole. Adding to the racing homage is the Club 58 branding on the shoe’s lateral heels and tongue, matching the number placement on the iconic race cars for an extra flair. These sky blue kicks are set to race onto SNKRS and Nike.com sometime early in 2021.
