Sneaker Releases

Arguably one of 2022’s most anticipated sneaker releases, the Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low “Reverse Mochas” is set to drop on July 21st.

Travis Scott confirms the release of the Air Jordan 1 Reverse Mocha by posting a photo of him wearing the new kicks on his Instagram.

Similarly, designed to his Low Dark Mocha dropped in 2019 the Reverse Mocha features a familiar color palette of sail, dark mocha, and university red. However, the Reverse Mocha comes in a lighter brown and white palette, a slight variation on the Dark Mocha, which is primarily black and dark brown.

A recognizable design that was executed by Travis Scott and the Jordan Brand team is its enlarged reverse Swoosh logo that sees its belly tucked into the midsole, this Air Jordan 1 Low OG certainly alarmed Air Jordan 1 fans for the drastic change, but it has since been a catalyst for disruptive design in sneaker collaborations.

Just like the first release, the Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low features a variety of emblems such as the Cactus Jack on the heel, the type-written arrangement on the tongue and upper, and a variety of sticker-like appliques on the insole.

While pricing has not been confirmed, we can expect the Travis Scott AJ1 Reverse Mocha to cost about $200. Reselling for over $2000 CAD if anyone wants to snatch an early pair, it might be wiser to wait, as the resell prices should come down after the big release. They’re expected to come in full family sizes; one can only pray to land a pair in any size via retail.

See the official images below and stay tuned for updates.

Best Sneakers At 2K23 NBA Summer League (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Best Sneakers At 2K23 NBA Summer League (SneakerReporter Top 10 PEs Series)

Featured

The NBA Summer League allows us to see all the new talent drafted into the NBA. We saw the first five picks (Paolo Banchero, Chet Holmgren, Jabari Smith, Keegan Murray, and Jaden Ivey) in action. This was one of the most exciting Summer League off-season’s in a while, and many of the NBA Stars came out to witness it. The NBA’s in good hands for the present and the future as the talent was on display.

A lot of the marque rookies that everyone wanted to see did play but in limited games. The players that put on a show at the Summer League this summer were Cam Thomas, Quentin Grimes, and Keegan Murray. They were the Top 3 scorers during Summer League and put on a show. Cam Thomas averaged 27.4 PPG for the Brooklyn Nets and showcased a lot of growth/maturity in his game. Quentin Grimes was averaging 23.5 PPG for the New York Knicks squad and was able to show all the Knicks fans what they had been waiting to see from the sophomore. Keegan Murray came to the Summer League to let it be known he’s a walking bucket averaging 23.3 PPG.

There was a lot of heat on the court during the NBA 2K23 Summer League. A lot of the players either have a sneaker deal or haven’t signed on the dotted line yet. Nike Basketball was well represented on the court and there was no lack of Kobes out there too. This SneakerReporter Top 10 list isn’t about PEs but it’s about the quality of heat that we saw out there from players grinding to make a name for themselves.

A Better Look at the Nike LeBron 20

Spotted during a recent workout session, and his return to the Drew League Pro-Am, LeBron James has officially debuted the Nike LeBron 20.

The Nike LeBron 20 tech specs have yet to be announced, the shoe will be a low-top similar build to the Ambassador 13 featuring a knitted upper with what appears to be dual Swooshes on the lateral. This is a shift from his signature line that typically features bulkier, high-top with visible Max Air cushioning. Other notable details include Metallic “XX” lace dubraes.

LeBron James & DeMar DeRozan Shut Down The Drew League Pro-AM

LeBron James & DeMar DeRozan Shut Down The Drew League Pro-AM

Featured

The Drew League Pro-Am has been a special place for basketball players throughout the years. DeMar DeRozan has been a constant member of the Pro-Am and this year he brought out LeBron James. This was the first time LeBron James has played in the Drew League Pro-Am since 2011. When LeBron showed up in 2011 he dominated and let it be known he didn’t mind going against any baller that stepped up to him.

Last season everyone wanted to see LeBron James and DeMar DeRozan on the Los Angles Lakers. For this brief moment, everyone was able to see what those two would look like on the same team/same court. Both LeBron and DeMar didn’t disappoint as the crowd was on the edge of their seats from the beginning tip to the ending buzzer. This was a huge legacy builder for LeBron in LA and his return to the Drew League Pro-Am even shut down the NBA App. LeBron James put on a show as he was able to put up 42 points and 16 rebounds in a win. It didn’t matter who was in front of LeBron they were going to get that work. LeBron put all the moves he’s been working on lately with Chris Brinkley into action against the opposing team. It didn’t help that LeBron’s team name was the “Cheaters” and with the addition of DeMar DeRozan that was definitely clear. Every LeBron dunk got the crowd hyped and he lived up to the hype with every point.

Demar DeRozan came to play as usual when it comes to the Drew League. Deebo came out and made it clear that he’s a walking bucket. DeMar DeRozan was hitting his mid-range jumper with ease and was scoring with these. It was a shame seeing what this duo could have been if they were on the Lakers. DeMar was able to finish the game with 30 points and 14 rebounds. Some guy even tried to fight with DeMar during the game as well but all that did was get his game going.

LeBron James used the Drew League platform to debut the Nike LeBron 20. We all have been waiting to see some more clear pictures of the silhouette and they are FIREEEEEE. Check out some of the up-close pictures and more pics from the Drew League Pro-Am yesterday.
